We had over 25 kids at the party and she was just amazing in drawing cartoon caricatures of every single child. Soft spoken well organized and most of all she was too good in what she did drawing caricatures 😍

Sylvia did an excellent job drawing caricartures at our Halloween party. She was a hit with the kids and adults alike. Everyone at our event raved about her, totally professional and great at what she does. The drawings bore a nice resemblance to the people drawn. There was a long line of enthusiasts waiting to get their picture drawn, but Sylvia was very patient with the crowd and even graciously offered to stay longer. We would definitely hire again and would highly recommend for others to use her professional services as well!

I was a little concerned as she was booked with a fellow partner to do an event for my clients. It was a Non-profit with a limited budget. We agreed on a price for services rendered before the event. The day of the event I was concerned because she called me and was not able to do it as her car AC went out and the other guy would not drive in a car without an AC. She stated it presented a health risk for her as it was over an hour drive. She did ask for assistance in payment for an Uber which I was not able to do because this budget was maxed out. This concerned me as I have to still meet the needs of my client who was expecting these services as a wonderful gift for their guest. I was thankful to learn she was able to find another artist and was able to get to the venue. I also suggested they put out a tip jar so it would help with any extra expenses she may have needed to pay the new artist. They not only arrived before it started but some guest came early and they started a little early and even stayed after their contracted time to assist the last couple at no extra charge. People enjoyed their company as well as their drawings. Again, thankful things worked out and for their services.

I hired 2 artists at my daughter’s wedding and was told each drawing takes about 5 minutes per person. I explained that I wanted them to have 1 artists go to the grooms quarters and 1 for the bridal party pre wedding but when they got there was told they wouldn’t split up. This caused the bridal party not having theirs done. At the reception the drawings took about 30-40 minutes each drawing so a lot of our guests couldn’t get drawings. Plus the artists talked a lot instead of drawing. Big disappointment especially for how expensive it was. Hardly any of our guests received drawings.

I am so sorry you feel this way of professional artist Nick with over 30 years experience and I. This also wasn’t what we expected as well. I never said or told anyone that we could not be split up. First of all we arrived at 4:30 pm, 30 minutes before our start time. Our time frame to draw caricatures was 5 pm to 8 pm.
We were never introduced to the Bride or Groom or you Ms Entwistle. When I asked the Wedding Planner where to set up, she went to confirm because the girls were not ready. At 4:30 pm I told her I will go move my car to parking space while she went to confirm. As per Nick, the wedding Planner instructed we both start at the Grooms Quarters when back after parking car.
We were moved three times to different locations at the Party Venue as instructed by the Party Planner to start at the Groom’s Quarters, then at 5:30 were instructed to move to an outside area, cocktail time. (30 minutes consumed to set up and where we would set up). About 30 Minutes later, we were asked to stop because the Wedding Ceremony which consumed about another 40 minutes of our drawing time. Then we were moved again indoors where dinner being served another 10-15 minutes consumed of our drawing time.
Half of our drawing time was consumed during the wedding ceremony and just being moved around and resetting up three times during our time frame to draw. Also, many of the persons being drawn kept asking us how long we had been drawing caricatures as they complimented us and even tipped because of how pleased they were of the drawings. To be courteous, we never answer in a short answer “ 30 years”. We stopped drawing 8:30 pm, DJ needed the space.

We had a great experience with the balloon artist and she was pretty fast.

Sylvia entertained us at my family's Christmas Eve party in 2021. She was very professional and prompt! Never once did she ask for food or drinks. Poor Sylvia, we should've offered! Despite 1 or 2 of the other reviewers commenting that Sylvia's caricatures look the same, we all loved ours and can see the individuality in each person. OK, the caricature of our 3 teenage girls look alike, but then again, they look alike in real life also! (photo not attached - max of 8). Anyway, WOW X 101!! Sylvia even took extra time to COLOR them!! Thank you Sylvia. I'd definitely hire you again.

We hired Sylvia as face painter for our event where we had 50+ children in attendance. She did amazingly beautiful paintings, with glitter and jewels. Her work was intricate, detailed, and appealing.
Sylvia brought Dora as balloon twister, who was equally good at her work. All the children had a great time at the party!

She arrived late due to traffic, but stayed to make up the time. Unfortunately, though her work was good, she was only able to complete FOUR sketches in two hours. My guess were very disappointed.

I am sorry, Ms. Carolyn. I was only hired for two hours and that is all I was hired for only two hours. I was drawing two persons per each 17 x 11 size paper. Each person is considered a drawing. Also at the beginning the guest did not seem to be encouraged to get a drawing and also taking time to decide if get drawn or not and were busy eating and playing some cards or games. And when I started packing up, guests wanted to be drawn after they saw my caricature drawings. It could be your guests thought I would be there until end of party and could wait till they fininshed eating . The guests did not know Caricature Drawing Artist would be there for only 2 hours.

I have never received a review like yours of all the faces looked the same. Everyone is always happy and pleased. Even there all the ladies from Russia and the Hispanics were very happy with their drawings because they even commented to me how much they loved theirs.

If you will rehire in April because as I was leaving you said you would be rehiring me for your daughter's birthday party because you and guests stated how much they liked my caricature drawings. Also, I did a special drawing of you and your family and gave you 30 minutes extra. You also had initially changed the date and then you asked me to work for 2 hours instead of 1 and a half hours. I did everything I could to accommodate you to your requests.
