My message to my audience is, "We can thrive, and we can do it in a way that is in harmony with our planet and each other".

By sharing my story with my audience, I not only impart vital sustainability information, I also inspire and motivate. My goal is to demonstrate how green living and sustainability are everyone's concern and that environmentally sensitive, simple living contains solutions for many of the challenges people face today from food shortages to the need for safe housing.

Along with her seven-year-old daughter, Asante George is transforming a century old urban house in Jacksonville, Florida, into a self-sustaining home. Through the use of techniques like water-catchment, micro-farming, and solar energy, Asante and her daughter plan to turn their small house into a thriving city homestead.

Asante's experience as a single parent and her desire to inspire and motivate others have inspired Asante to embark on this fascinating project.
