We have a large repertoire of cover material. We play the best of the classics from the 60’s & 70’s up to today. Some of the artists we cover include: Joni Mitchell, Jefferson Airplane, Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, CCR, Fleetwood Mac, Chris Stapleton and Tragically Hip.
The band has strong vocals & amazing harmonies making their sound truly unique.
The band is:
Sharon Denise – vocals & rhythm guitar, mandolin & recorder. The “voice” of Assorted Affair, Sharon began singing at a young age in youth choirs and high school productions. Together with partner Simon, they formed Assorted Affair and began performing and recording Sharon’s original songs. Her vocals are reminiscent of Natalie Merchant, Cher and Stevie Nicks.
Simon Farlow - lead guitar, harmonica & vocals. “Nimble-fingered Farlow” has played electric guitar in numerous rock bands since the age of 16 including Red House, MacKenzie and The Point. Simon shines on the acoustic guitar and rocks out on the slide guitar, a nod to his electric-rock roots. Early musical influences include Johnny Winter and the Allman Brothers.
Jim Kell - vocals & bass. An original member of the Cream Cheese Good Time Band and the Kell Band, Jim is a multi instrumentalist - a talented drummer, guitarist, vocalist and MCA recording artist. Jim added the bass to his repertoire when he joined Assorted Affair in 2019 after a chance meeting with the band at a local music store. Jim’s bass playing has been heavily influenced by Jaco Pastorious.
Assorted Affair’s first CD “Listen” has something to please everyone’s musical taste - Rock, Bluegrass, Folk, Country and the Blues. They are currently working on their second CD.
