I am a classically trained singer who also plays piano and guitar. In addition to my repertoire of sacred music which works well for weddings and funerals I have music themed for every month including Scottish music, Irish music, Neapolitan music, Operatic arias, Mexican and Spanish music, Sea Shanties, and much more. I have performed at a variety of historic homes around New England including Marble House, Eustis House, and The Rotch- Jones- Duff House and I I have performed for private events at The Harvard Club, The St. Botolph Club, and the Providence Art Club.
Austin played at my sons rehearsal dinner. He was easy to communicate with. Very responsive and eager to give us the experience we wanted. Played songs my son and his wife requested beforehand. Everyone commented on how great they were. I would hire him again in a second!
Austin Burns voice is textbook of clarity, nuance, and beautifully proportioned in balance and sincerity! Another way in putting it: The words project the music/the music projects the words. He treats BOTH on equal term and manner. The muse has been listening: She is the source of inspiration to the creative artist: Austin Burns!
No time for detailed comments. Austin was great. Met or exceeded all expectations.
I love working with Austin at Church of the Covenant in Boston. He's an excellent musician, is always prepared and can sing in any style. I've also seen him in concert several times and he is a first rate performer and puts together incredibly creative programs.
I have known Austin for many years. I have attended many of his concerts in downtown Boston and various livestreams. I have had a great time at every performance! I also worked with him as a member of the choir at Church of the Covenant. Austin was always well prepared and professional. He is a talented tenor with a gracious spirit and a deep love for music and people. I can't think of anyone better suited for your event!
I saw Austin at Marble House in Newport last Christmas. He sang a variety of classical, popular, and original Christmas songs. He has a beautiful voice and kept up a lively, humorous banter with the audience throughout the night. He's a great addition to any party or event!
I have known Austin through my experience at the church choir as well as the many concerts he has put on at Church of the Covenant. He is a gifted performer with a knack for capturing the imagination of the audience. He is a pleasure to work with and a dear friend. I highly recommend him for any social events.
My family saw Austin perform a couple of times with pianist Michelle Gordon and were really impressed with his voice. We had been looking for a vocal coach for our son, and we thought Austin would be a good choice. He has been great! Austin has been very professional, as well as being easy to communicate with. Most importantly, our son has fun working with him, and has made great progress in both his singing ability and his confidence in performing. I would highly recommend him as a teacher.

Being more of the classical persuasion I generally perform without microphones but I do have my own amp, mic, and electric piano if needed. Generally whether solo or as an ensemble we simply need a power outlet and a few armless chairs.
