Born in Phoenix, Arizona, she has always been creative, loved fairy tales, writing poems and her own short stories. In 2010, she and her very magical friend Liz started their own self-published business. L & L Butterfly Books came to life and debuted their first award winning board book,
"I'm a Manatee Happy to be ME!", which made it into the hearts & shelves of Florida's Sea World, Borders as well as Barnes & Noble!
In 2015, L & L Butterfly Books published another beautiful board book called "I'm a Honey Bee Happy to be ME!” which is also part of the Barnes & Noble family as well as Butterfly Wonderland gift shop. One of her favorite quotes found in each book, "Isn't it great that we are not the same? We all look different and have special names." Instilling the message that it is great to be you and great to be different. Leslie makes appearances at Butterfly Wonderland, Book Stores, Schools, Events and Private Parties.
