Overview
We are seasoned musicians that groove in several types of music. Great songs in classic and new country to rock, blues, soul. A variety of music backgrounds from the group that are guaranteed to entertain in all settings.
It starts with our lead vocalist, Ross Horn who spent 15 years in Nashville singing at the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland. He also was on the Columbia Artists Tour. Jim Hazel (guitars/bass) and James Yager (Keys) toured and recorded with the CCM group Liberation Suite. Mike Acevedo (guitars/bass) also spent time in Nashville touring with CCM group The Katinas and Jesus Music. Chuck Kirchoff (drums) has been playing with groups in Central Texas for several decades.

Our neighborhood has an annual event held in the fall called “BooFest”. This past BooFest, we hired the band “Back Forty” to perform for us. In just a simple sentence, “These guys are terrific!" They played a variety of music including country, classic rock, pop, etc... I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed their music and overall entertainment. We had several people ask us, “How do you find this caliber of music?” One person told us that he has heard a lot of bands around San Antonio and “Back Forty” was by far the best he had heard, “period”. These guys are professional quality and not your run-of-the-mill musicians. We will definitely be contacting them in the future to entertain us at some of our future events. Thanks “Back Forty” for being a part of our annual event and we look forward to having you back again and again!
