Backline Improv Theatre

We start with a single suggestion and perform scenes that you would see in a play or a movie, structured to make you laugh. We listen to your laughs, and tailor fit our show for our audience. We focus on very real scenes, that an audience remember can relate with, then we get out the and have a blast, allowing the audience to believe it, while laughing at how ridiculous it is.

I teach 5 levels of long-form improv at Studio Gallery in Dundee (Omaha), and we perform weekly with a greatly talented community of comedians every Friday night from 9pm-midnight, and the shows are only $5 and you can bring your own snacks and drinks.

We aren't necessarily clean, but we are smart, and we can be clean for corporate events. We focus on making smart moves, rich with satire and just enough goofiness to make sure you laugh. I teach structured long-form improv as taught by the Upright Citizens Brigade, who have changed the way improv is performed today, and changed how tv and film hire improvisors. I also teach how to be real, and engage in a conversation, I teach how to listen, and I teach how to trust. A lot of this comes from my training at iO West (formerly Improv Olympic.)

Besides at Studio Gallery, I have also taught special workshops for Wayne State College, Reel Talent Agency, and Camping USA in Big Bear, California.
