Barry Williams and The Traveliers are a versatile Trio that will perform for you at your event, party or celebration. We are family-friendly and we love to get the audience to participate in a few songs like Sunshine Day, Tiny Bubbles and Iko-Iko. It is like going to a Hoedown, Rock concert, Disco and Luau all-in-one show.
Just finished a very important weekend, one of those that required everything to go right. I booked Barry Williams and the Traveliers as an essential part of this private event. Recognizing the iconic celebrity of Mr. Williams, I had high expectations that were, in fact, exceeded at every turn. Barry’s lead vocals were complemented by Tina Mahina-Williams and Mike Ristau who brought longtime professional talent to our intimate stage, and they traded leads with Barry throughout the performance. Their musical range was impressive with classic rock, country, and pop numbers amplified by Mike’s impeccable lead guitar and Tina’s Polynesian music background that added truly unique percussion support for several numbers. Harmonies were rich and song arrangements gave recognizable tunes a fresh flavor. Barry combined his solid vocals with lively interactions that made the occasion simply “fun” for everyone. He also gladly accommodated autograph requests and audience questions about his television career in self-effacing manner.
We are longtime veterans of hundreds of live performances and have special affection for musicians who can bypass the “manufactured sound” common on stages today and let basic amplification and their own “unplugged” talents carry the day. We are grateful to Barry, Tina, and Mike for elevating the experience of an audience that ranged from six years old to sixty-seven. Beyond the music, we enjoyed three delightful individuals--none of the “phone it in” quality that we’ve seen from some performers. They were gracious, passionate about their music, and fully committed to matching their efforts to our specific needs. We experienced excellent live music with a truly unique dimension that made for a very special evening indeed. Thanks!
