Bay Bridge Beat is an 8-piece funk, soul, R&B and classic rock and roll big band. We pay tribute to Bay Are groups and beyond whose music moves people to dance and enjoy the experience. We challenge all new comers to keep their feet from moving. Our song list includes songs which people love but haven't heard in many years - great tunes from the likes of Tower of Power, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Blood, Sweat & Tears Lenny Kravitz, The Boneshakers and more. With a complete horn section, rhythm section, and a lead singer who's personality fills the stage, we're an act that has satisfied audiences at Oakland's First Friday, Lafayette Art & Wine, among other venues large and small.

The Bay Bridge Beat is everything you would expect from an energetic, entertaining, and downright professional band. Our variety of music spans the generations, all with a funk back beat that will keep audiences on their feet the entire gig. We can play for two hours straight and everyone will be satisfied from the first song to the last. We are flexible and open to changes in the moment should the venue require it. We are 8 men dedicated to quality music and deriving energy from the crowd. Our mission has always been to satisfy our audiences.
The Bay Bridge Beat has been around for over 5 years. We have played major venues, clubs, and private parties. Our band members are very talented musicians and are dedicated to their craft. Our choices of music are made in tribute to classic Bay Area bands with an emphasis on dance-able songs, a bit nostalgic yet appealing to all ages. Our emphasis is on the beat and the horns. And our front man is a real showman. We've received nothing but incredibly positive feedback from our audiences.
All we need is a power source. We have our own 500 watt PA, front line monitors, mics, and our own amps. We sound best when we can set up and adjust the board for a sound check to balance the horn section. We can work with any stage manager or sound engineer.
Our influences span classic funk, soul and big, horn-based rock bands of the Bay Area and beyond. Tower of Power, Chicago, Van Morrison, James Brown to name a few. We look for songs people love but have forgotten, songs they love to dance to and sing along with.
