What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
As a consumer, it's vital that the professional chosen is one who takes pride in making the customer their top priority.
Next, makeup can become a big mess when working with clients day to day. As a client, it's necessary that you're provided service with sanitized products and tools.
Lastly, makeup shouldn't be treated as an excuse to skip skincare. As a makeup artist, it's also important that the client's skin is prepped properly to create the perfect base for the skin.
Beauty has always been a major part of my life from a young age to adulthood. I was fascinated with the variety of products available and the skills used to apply and create any look.
I soon, became a student of YouTube University and I attended every class faithfully to learn and experience different products virtually before running to the store to purchase them.
As I grew closer to makeup, the algorithms of social media allowed me to connect with professionals that had operated in the industry for years. I then became a paying student, which drove a lot of information home for me. I was able to elevate my skills and product knowledge. As I contributed to my education more, I was able to transcend and provide quality services to my very own clients.
Questions to consider prior to booking a makeup artist:
1. When do I need to be ready for my event/outing?
2. What kind of makeup does the makeup artist specialize in?
3. What ingredients/products am I allergic to?
