BeeYonka uses various forms of art — through music, writing, poetry, and spoken word as a platform to mention topics she feels should be a part of everyday conversation. She specializes in a variety of odes to her trauma and culture for creating the healing bittersweet poet she is today. BeeYonka's personal philosophy is: “It’s all relative and you are validated.” She has performed in many venues including, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, was a featured poet in A Time to Arrive, and even showcased in an AAPI Celebration with many poets and storytellers. BeeYonka is also apart of an all women international poetry group called Tesoro and won her 1st Poetry Slam in May 2023.
I had the pleasure of seeing Bianca's live poetry reading performance twice. The first time was on May 20, 2022 Nuyorican Poets Cafe (NYC). The second time was a year later on May 29, 2023 during a virtual event celebrating Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage month.
I was touched by the words that Bianca shared with her community audience. They covered topics relating to her culture, social justice, identity, and mindfulness. Seeing Bianca light up on stage at the Nuyorican in 2022 was infectious, as she lit up and became alive with the spoken words she had written on paper. In 2022 at the API virtual event, it was a proud moment to see how much Bianca has grown as an Artist poet a year later. Her own experiences from childhood all the way through adulthood have molded her to become the driven and authentic person she is today.
If one has the opportunity to experience a Bianca reading, I highly recommend to not miss it. Her words will make an everlasting imprint on your heart, mind and soul towards the future.
The first time I heard BeeYonka present, I was floored! She has a pure, moving style of spoken word that defines the best of the genre. The work is honest, telling, evocative, and descriptive...it is clear that BeeYonka as an artist has a firm grasp of not just the basic tenets of her art form, but the passion and dedication that adds that "something extra" to writing and performance. I, personally, was so enthralled that I invited her to join my international arts consortium, TESORO, before her show segment had finished!
This is a voice and vision that cannot help enhance, educate, inform. Having this woman on your stage, at your event, is guaranteed to elevate the occasion from "simply entertaining" to "memorable".
I cannot praise BeeYonka enough for the incredibly moving art that she shared with us! She received high praise from everyone, but not only that I could *see* and feel the space shift upon getting to hear her deeply passionate pieces. She is such a gracious yet unyielding performer, never holding back but instead guiding the audience through her gorgeous maze of words! You can see the inspiration she elicits in everyone! What an incredibly gifted orator!
I had the pleasure to hear BeeYonka at an open mic and she is Simply Amazing. The way she recites her work. Her emphasis, the pauses it just pulls you in. BeeYonka performed a piece about Love, Partnership and Understanding this one piece had me crying, laughing and nodding my head in agreement with what she was saying. She had me feeling so many different emotions in minutes. Watching her interaction off stage with other performers you can tell she has a charismatic personality that is phenomenal. Im eager to see what this young lady will put out in the world.
A MUST SEE
Amazing talented artist .
Her words spoke to a part of me I didn’t realize needed healing .
Highly recommended artist for any event . She will captivate any audience sitting before her .
An experience worth giving a chance. You feel the intensity when she speaks and the gravity of your feet turn into cinder blocks as you wait for the next breath.
Her shows are my favorite! She really speaks with her heart and has a way of having you feel the words she is speaking. When I went to one of her shows she made it feel like she was speaking to me. I related to what she was saying and she captivated my attention from the start. I laughed and got emotional, she really is great.
i am so thankful for bianca’s performance at my open mic. her art brought the entire room together and illuminated our night. from hearing her perform i can tell she is meant to move many more souls. i would welcome her back to my venue any day!

The expectation when clients experience my poetry is a certain intensity. My poetry speaks about trauma and healing and caters towards the indigenous people. A lot of my poetry revolves around certain truths we otherwise would avoid in common conversation. I don't use a lot of profanity but there is literary wordplay I enjoy weaving into my pieces. I dive into certain themes such as survivorship vs victimhood whether it's a brown person's perspective or a brown woman's perspective because that's the viewpoint I've experienced through and through. As heavy as my art sounds, it also brings a lightness to conversations moving forward and continues to create safe spaces wherever I go.

For poetry/spoken word anything smaller than 30 people I don't need much equipment other than a stage area or space for me to stand and perform. If the event is inside and more of an intimate event, I. would need around 1-2 lights; it doesn't need to be any specific kind of light anything works. Events bigger than 30 I would need an elevated platform or stage, mic, speakers, music stand, and 1-2 lights regardless if the event is inside or outdoors.
Some of the writers that influence my art are:
Rudy Francisco
Rupi Kaur
Najwa Zebian
Nayo Jones
To name a few.
Stage
1-2 Lights (only if event is indoors)
Mic
Speakers
Sheet stand/Music stand
