Self-described as a “hopeful skeptic,” Benjamin Rose uses music to tell stories and connect with people’s deepest emotions. They have a wide repertoire of original music and cover songs, their influences ranging from bedroom pop, folk-rock, R&B, top 40, and more. Benjamin Rose has been writing music since they were 13 and has been performing live off and on since 2014. Since early 2018, they have been a core member of the Madison synth-rock outfit Kat and the Hurricane, winner of 3 Madison Area Music Association awards. They also host a podcast called "Queerful," which explores the stories and legacies of the LGBTQ+ community.
