First, I'll start by saying that Papi and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with! From the beginning of planning the event, all of my questions were answered in a timely manner. It was not long until the vision for our party was created. Papi is truly an "Entertainer" in every sense of the word. He took care of everything from instructing people when to eat, to how and when the toast would happen. His jokes were hilarious! My mother and her friends were absolutely ecstatic! He even played songs for the kids, and to all of our surprise he had my uncle Doug dancing! I would recommend Papi for any party! His energy and kindness were amazing. Thank you Papi for a night we will never forget!

Our October 8th wedding was a dream come true. Papi was entertaining, organized, and professional. I was an overwhelmed bride with a lot of things to organize and Papi made things so easy. He customized our playlists and even took requests from our guests. He kept the party going and the people dancing. Friends and family members said he was the best wedding entertainer they had ever seen!
My daughter's wedding date got changed (thanks to the military) and Papi was able to work with us, knowing that an outdoor wedding in April in Colorado was risky. He walked us through the whole process from beginning to end and was my saving grace when the day didn't go exactly as planned. Papi and Stu didn't miss a beat and followed the cues of the crowd and the reception in general, which made it look like everything went off exactly as I intended (when that was NOT the case). The music was superb and the entertainment that accompanied it was right on cue! My daughter got so many compliments about the wedding and about what a great time people had at the reception. My name is Papi Sorrels (last name pronounced: SOAR-ellis). Papi is short for Papillon which means butterfly. And I guess that fits me perfectly oddly enough.
I have cocooned around the world learning various styles of strategy and approach to audiences as well as thousands of songs. It was a beautiful exchange and learning experience that I will never forget.
And now I am back in the states ready to burst from that cocoon and give you a beautiful experience that you and your guests will be amazed by as you enjoy Big Papi's Good Time Piano Show.

WATTAGE:
For BOTH of our sakes we just need to watch out for wattage issues of where I plug into. Typically, larger bands will need four to five isolated 20 amp outlets, and they’ll need to run power to the lights on separate circuits. Having everything on separate circuits eliminates the chance of the band’s blowing a breaker, or the engineer’s having to to track down a “hum.” Fortunately I am not a LARGE band but its something to be aware of :)
DINNER:
Any interactive show works best when dinner is completed. I will supply perfect background music for your guests as they eat. But it becomes rather difficult for me to get people to sing along when they have filet mignon in their mouth :) . So for the most successful show for both of us, lets make sure the show doesn't start during dinner.
GREEN ROOM/ SEPARATE AREA:
As a performer we just need a place to keep our gear bags as well as change clothes before or after the show. Having bottled water available is always a nice touch. We appreciate anything you have to offer in this regards. Goes a long way for all of us.
There isn't a large enough character allotment for the amount of songs I know after 20 years of performing across the globe. That said, I'll put down my range by genre/decade.
