Billy Kendrick

A one-man acoustical experience that encompasses many genres, many periods, and styles of popular music, along with some original material. Along with that will be an occasional dialogue of the history of certain songs and what eras they came from and what historical events took place within them. A great form of acoustical EDUTAINMENT.

Born June 4, 1974 in Springfield, Missouri. From a musical family who played in local rock bands in the Springfield area, such as the Marlay Brothers. Born with a rare form of ocular albinism (legally blind). Kendrick's time was spent learning songs and listening to records while he was growing up, until he got his first guitar at the age of 15. Within a year, he started writing songs and learning Beatles and Jethro Tull covers. After high school, Kendrick majored in Broadcasting and minored in Music at Missouri State from (phone number hidden)6. From there, he went on to play with several local groups and solo acts, adding more styles and songs, both original and otherwise, to his vocabulary of tunes, leading to his joining up with the Eddie Valen Band, and oldies tribute band, with which he still plays currently. Kendrick is currently working on a solo album, in which he is developing his own country-flavored style, known as "Oakensoulle".
