She was on time have me a call to let me know she was getting close and would be here in about 10 minutes. My birthday girl is a wandered she was attentive and with in a moment if her wandering if was immediately looking and asking where she went. Which was usually to find me and tell me all about it. She kept moving was very active and my kids had a blast! If we decide to have a character come again I will definitely be using there services! She interacted with not only the kids but also the adults and was just wonderful! She played games, made necklaces, colored and more. Worth every penny
I wasn't happy with the pricing increase as we went along. Also was contacted early in the day that one of the costumes was defunct so instead of Anna we would be getting Rapunzel. The girls arrived 15 minutes after the event was supposed to start and so there was no time to check speakers and equipment prior to the appearance even though I had been contacted early in the day and they committed to arriving early - they did the best they could given the situation and I think it could have been much better with a little planning. the little kids were delighted but the adults could clearly see it was less than we had hoped - especially for our sponsors who paid for the event.

Thanks so much for leaving us a review! We always appreciate to hear how we can improve.
Unfortunate rush hour traffic and getting a bit lost did make us 5 minutes late, you're right, and it didn't allow us to have the sound check that we wanted, but we did our best to stay over in order to make up our full time.. I know that can't make up for the Sound Check lost, however.
As for being unable to bring Anna, we are still a brand new company, with only the funding to allow for one of each costume. Unfortunate though it is, I couldn't justify presenting a damaged costume at your event, which meant that I brought the next best thing- our most popular, and best designed Princess. I beg your pardon for that small misstep.
I will say that despite the fact that we increased our price because it was a public event, which meant MANY more people than private parties (and less security for that reason), you were still given a discounted rate because of the fact that you were part of a sponsored organization. We always love to do our part to make sure organizations like the Literacy program are backed up, and I'm very sorry we couldn't do more but give you the discount already applied.
All this said, we still had a wonderful time, and will take this as a learning experience. We are still delighted to hear that all of our little friends had as much fun as we did.

Bridget, the owner of Birchwood Events, has a degree in theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She has extensive experience in interactive character performance, as well as working with children as staff with Madison's First Act Children's Theatre.
Creating interactive, walk-about characters, completely conversational and engaging, is a challenge we are more than happy to accept! We hire only the best, most capable performers to be sure every second of your event is handled perfectly!
-Every Character Actor will have a chaperone from our company in attendance for personal safety, if hired as a solo performer. This chaperone may be dressed in 'period attire' to match the theme of your event, or will come in 'Theater Blacks' to be as unnoticeable as possible.
- Events lasting longer than 3 hours will have a 30 minute break in the middle, with water provided and proper restrooms and rest area available.
-If you've requested a presentation to be made, and sound equipment is available, let us know! If not, we will do our best to accommodate with Voice & Diction that everyone in your audience may hear us.
-If you've requested a song to be performed (available on request) be sure that proper equipment is available, and that a sound check may take place before the event begins
