Birjan D. Crispin was born in Ruse, Bulgaria, and was adopted at 2 years old and grew up in Wheaton, IL and currently serves as a legislative aide in the Indiana House of Representatives for the House Republican Caucus. He is a graduate of Hope College and holds a degree in finance and political science. Birjan is a graduate of the Forge Leadership Summit, the Heritage Foundation’s Leadership Academy, where he studied fiscal and monetary policy, writing a capstone thesis on the behavioral economics of poverty, which was later published in the Daily Signal, the Heritage Foundation’s flagship publication. Birjan is an alum of the Leadership Institute’s Youth Leadership Program, which trains and raises up young conservative leaders across the country. He is a former finalist for the Western Conservative Summit’s National Under 30 Speech Contest, and has been invited to speak at several events, integrating theology and public policy. He is also a member of The Hoosier Leadership Series Class of 2024, Indiana Family Institute’s premier political training program. He is a growing voice nationwide on political, social and cultural issues in our country today, and is passionate about traversing both sides of the political aisle, discussing principles of faith, family and freedom. Birjan is engaged in local politics and serves in his community and currently attends Grace Baptist Church in Anderson, Indiana. Birjan and his wife, Brooke, currently live in Pendleton, Indiana.
