Award-winning classical guitarist and sideman to the stars brings world-class virtuosity to your ceremony or event. B.J. holds a bachelor's and master's degree in classical guitar performance from MTSU and the University of Denver, respectively. He is proficient in all periods of music on the classical guitar and nearly every genre of music on acoustic guitar. His musical depth and quality of sound add intimacy to every performance. He has been employed by Lyle Lovett as an opening classical guitarist and Brantley Gilbert as a band member and multi-instrumentalist. He also has writing and recording credits with Robert Randolph, Willie Nelson, Brantley Gilbert, and many others.
He was exceptional!
Our residents loved the entertainment and he made us feel like we’d hopped on a plane and traveled to Spain. He was kind and professional to our senior residents and provided such an amazing experience for them.
Response from B.J. Golden:
Thanks for having me, I enjoyed performing for the residents!
We had the best experience with an intelligent and one of a kind guitarist. We could all feel the energy from his play, and everyone in attendance was blown away. Truly the only person who could have made such a special day even better!
Mr. Golden has all the characteristics one could desire in a musician. He was on-time, prepared, energetic but calm, attentive, agreeable, neat, crisp, knowledgable, and talented. He played a graduation party for my wife and I which was attended by half a dozen University professors, two dozen friends and neighbors, and half a dozen family members. It was an outdoor event with tents in case of inclement weather ( luckily the weather was agreeable ) and the party went on for longer than we imagined it might. There are probably hundreds of guitarists available for such a gig. I think the number with Mr. Golden's musical depth is much more limited. While he had a prepared playlist, our guests made many requests, some which I viewed as unreasonable. They were not disappointed. Mr. Golden shifts easily from pop, to classical, to gypsy jazz, Irish rags, bluegrass, and more. One moment I am listening to Bach and Schubert, then suddenly Django Rheinhart followed by some passionate and flamboyant flamenco. Mr. Golden's repertoire is astounding, his performance enjoyable, and his awareness of volume levels and the crowd's mood sensitive and professional. I have recommended him to many people, both corporate acquaintances and friends. I recommend him to you now.
