We have a full PA and sound system including mixing support (if needed).

Hello, we are Black Dog RVA, Richmond, Virginia's preeminent Led Zeppelin cover band.

The band was formed in 2017 under the name Spiderkelly. We immediately hit the scene playing an extensive catalog which we deemed "your favorite mixed tape." We covered many "B-sides" of popular artist including Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Van Halen, U2, Billy Idol, Kings of Leon, Alabama Shakes, REM, Guns N Roses, and many more. Our niche was to play music that many cover bands would not attempt to play and that were somewhat off the beaten path, including covering a couple of Led Zeppelin songs.

As a cover band, we received many opportunities to play public and private parties at popular RVA spots including City Beach, Rare Olde Times, The Diamond (All Star Game), Kickers Stadium, The Darkroom, Porchella, Steam Bell Brewery, Richmond Music Hall, Reveler, etc.

In February of 2023 we released our first studio EP, "Downsummer" (available on all streaming services). While we love our original creation and had a blast recording, we quickly realized after an evening of deep reflection (and some great wine) that playing Led Zeppelin was our sweet spot. We made the tough decision to take a leap of faith, dig deep in learning a 20+ Led Zeppelin catalog as well as establish a new name, Black Dog RVA. The name of the band is a nod to honoring Led Zeppelin's killer song "Black Dog" as well as a celebration of the place we call home, Richmond, Virginia.

Since the summer of 2023 the band has been doubling down to build out our Led Zeppelin catalog and sharing the Black Dog RVA experience throughout RVA including an amazing SOLD OUT show at Reverler.
