With indie-folk vocal stylings reminiscent of 1920s jazz, songwriting that is unafraid to tackle the taboo, and pop melodies that stay with you for days, Portland-based singer-songwriter Blair Borax writes tender folk-pop songs to make you feel less alone. She conjures a vocal charm somewhere in between Regina Spektor and First Aid Kit, wordsmithing inspired by folk songwriting greats like John Prine, and tender vulnerability akin to Haley Heynderickx. “With rich lyrics and a voice like molasses,” poet J.Klatt says, “Blair Borax makes music that moves you to the heart of being human, offers you a warm cup of tea, and invites you to stay a while.”

Our company, Epic Aircraft, hired Blair to entertain at our annual 4th of July picnic - 300 people! Blair was available, reasonably affordable, and so easy to communicate with. She has the voice of an angel and such an incredible personality. We told her the time & place, and she made the rest happen. We are 100% interested in hiring her again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Thank Blair! Our guests (of all ages) enjoyed the live music at our outdoor high school graduation party on our back deck. Blair is easy to work with and we loved her music of originals and covers. Our guests socialized while listening to live music. What could be better?! She's a talented guitarist and singer.

With vocal stylings reminiscent of 1920s jazz, songwriting that is unafraid to tackle the taboo, and pop melodies that stay with you for days, Blair has something special to offer. She conjures a vocal charm somewhere in between Regina Spektor and First Aid Kit, wordsmithing inspired by folk songwriting greats like John Prine, and tender vulnerability akin to Haley Heynderickx and Big Thief’s Adrienne Lenker. After releasing her debut album “Keep Walking” in June 2022, she is planning to release her sophomore record “Tender Lately” this year.
