Blind Pig Jazz

You can expect a highly professional, upscale band consisting of some of the Pacific Northwest's top musicians. We pride ourselves on being responsive, punctual and reminiscent of the days of the speakeasies during the prohibition era.

You may choose anywhere from a duo (piano/vocals or guitar/vocals), trio (piano/bass/drums or guitar/bass/drums), quartet (vocals/piano/bass/drums or vocals/guitar/bass/drums) or quintet including a saxophonist or trumpet based on your need and budget.

In times past, there was a Blind Pig who ran a speakeasy that was so secret, even the prohibition agents didn't know about it. When he wasn't busy mixing drinks, the Blind Pig loved to bang on the drums, keeping the rhythm for his own jazz band.

Despite his obvious tribulations, the Blind Pig was a respected drummer. His sense of timing was impeccable - probably because he never had to worry about keeping an eye on the clock. When the joint was jumpin' and the music was hot, the Blind Pig would really let loose, pounding the skins like each stroke was his last.

Of course, the Blind Pig had to be careful not to attract too much attention to his speakeasy, so he would only play at night, after all the respectable folks had gone to bed. But even then, the sound of his drums could be heard for blocks around, drawing in a steady stream of customers eager to get their fix of music and moonshine.

We will require adequate electricity and suitable stage size. Special lighting is not required.
