Blown Away Brass Band

I booked Blown Away Brass Band for a birthday party and it was definitely the best way to celebrate! The entire experience from beginning to end was completely hassle free. Avery took care of everything!! Booked the band, obtained all necessary permits and the police escorts to accompany the parade, and provided excellent communication throughout the whole process.
The performers were punctual, professional, and experienced. They played a well curated set of non-stop favorites while leading a parade through New Orleans, in the dead of a summer heat wave, with smiles on their faces!!
You could not ask for a better birthday experience of a lifetime!! A truly unforgettable event that was enjoyed by all!!

Our corporate team booked the Blown Away Brass Band to surprise a colleague of ours for his 40th birthday. Communication was fast and it was easy to get ahold of the band leader for questions. They arrived on time and everyone absolutely loved the music! Lots of energy and lots of smiles. Would definitely recommend booking them! Thank you, guys!

Avery & krewe were fantastic! Great sound & energy, very professional & easy to work with. Even without a permit courtesy of NOPD short staffing, Avery was a top notch coordinator & made our event extra special. Would highly recommend!

Blown Away was awesome! They were so easy to communicate with and worked with us with our rain plans. Even though it was rainy, they gave us an amazing indoor performance and our guests loved it! I 100% would recommend them.

We loved our secondline. These young men played their hearts out! I still can't believe how many people stopped to watch and film. They were the most reasonably priced. They arranged all the permits and police escorts and responded quickly to all questions or concerns we had. Book them, you won't regret it!

I cannot believe how awesome it was to work with this group. In providing a 2nd line for our wedding, Avery was super sweet and stayed on top of everything from start to finish. Definitely recommend using their extra service of taking care of permits! Additionally, Avery handled our transportation arriving being late from getting lost... and remained calm and professional throughout took off the stress of being a bride. Each of the band members were very talented, lively and fun, and so lovely as individual humans. Everyone loved it. It was the perfect way to end the ceremony!!! We hired Blown Away for our wedding second line, and bandleader Avery was ultra-responsive, friendly, and clear about details from start to finish. The band arrived on time and prepared, and delivered a great set leading with our requested opening song. I would happily hire them again!

The band communicated well in advance of moms funeral, and gave her a lively send-off. They showed up on time, despite pouring rain. We were pleasantly surprised at how well they played.

We hired Blown Away Brass Band for the second line at our wedding, and they were fantastic!

Blown Away Brass Band put together an amazing experience for us on our wedding day, we couldn't recommend them highly enough! Our initial plans for a Second Line with a different band fell through about a month before the date, so we reached out to Blown Away for their help. We were able to set up and sign a contract within a day of asking, and the band handled all the logistics without our having to worry. They secured the permit and police escort for us, all we had to do was show up with 60 of our closest friends and family! The 5-piece band was outstanding, and led us through the streets of the French Quarter to our wedding venue. We danced along the route with numerous bystanders taking pictures and dancing along with us. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, and the band did such a great job at setting the tone for what many people have said was the most fun wedding they'd ever been to.

On a sultry August afternoon, this band brought smiles to our courtyard. We gave them less than 24 hours notice, they responded to all questions quickly, and played a spectacular set to a native New Orleans damily. Definitely recommend!

I hired Blown Away Brass Band to do a Second Line for my daughter's NOLA destination/Mardi Gras themed wedding. From the first time I visited NOLA years ago, I have dreamed of doing a Second Line and it was a top item on my bucket list. When we decided my daughter would get married in New Orleans, I knew this was the first thing I had to book. I could not have picked a better band and leader to work with. Avery was beyond amazing and took care of every detail. When COVID squashed my original plan to do the Second Line from Jackson Square through the French Quarter (the city was not approving permits) Avery was quick to suggest alternatives and, knowing how important this was to me, was willing to go above and beyond to ensure we were able to do something - even if it wasn't the full blown line through the Quarter. He suggested doing something around the venue (in Marigny) and keeping it small. Originally not what I had envisioned, but I have to admit it turned out SO MUCH BETTER than I could have ever anticipated! It ended being the weekend the restrictions were lifted and going through the neighborhood and seeing people come out of their homes to celebrate with us and hear the sounds of New Orleans after a long year of the pandemic was absolutely amazing. Avery, singlehandedly, made my dream come true and more importantly, gave my daughter and her guests a memory of a lifetime. This band is amazingly talented, personable, and SO FUN to hang out with!! My guests LOVED them and cannot stop raving about how awesome this experience was for all of us! Avery's communication with me leading up to the event was stellar. He was quick to get back with me regarding details and his professionalism on site was unmatched. I planned this wedding long distance and was nervous that there would be a glitch/issue with at least one of the different vendors I hired (three of which were through GigSalad-a site I had never heard of before but will definitely be using again) but I could not have gotten a better result and I am convinced my daughter's wedding will be the talk among our guests for many years to come and that is in no small part due to Avery & the Blown Away Brass Band's professionalism and talent. If you are considering hiring a band for a second line, I highly recommend you book them NOW! You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much, BABB. You were so great to work with!

We had them do a second line/send off to our wedding. I would highly recommend this because it brought everyone’s energy back late in the night. The band was very professional and stayed in constant contact with me. Idk if I’ll ever need a second line band again but I would definitely use them again.
