Blue Book Value band based in Northern Virginia, right outside of Washington, D.C. They have been playing in the Washington, DC metro area since 1996. In addition to blues and swing, they play a bit of rock n' roll, as well as current popular songs which makes them versatile for any venue.
The lead singer, Karen Book delivers some powerful, rich vocals and is supported by talented local musicians Bill Winslow on guitar, Glen McCarthy on bass, Kim Wooten on keyboard, and Henry Weisiger on drums. Blue Book Value plays mix of cover and a few original songs. Their repertoire includes popular songs from 70's to today.
Blue Book Value has played all over the Washington metro area. They were invited to play at one of the Presidential Inaugural Balls in 1997 after Tipper Gore heard them perform at the AIDS WALK WASHINGTON in 1996. The band played at the Mid Atlantic States Ball at the National Air & Space Museum. They have played in the Metro D.C. area at local clubs, festivals, outdoor summer concerts, as well as at private parties and weddings.
