Overview
I provide jazz combos of various sizes for your wedding, party, winery event, or the like. I focus on music that is highly listenable, using tunes from the New Orleans and Great American Songbook traditions. You can feature us on stage, or put us in the background to help create a pleasant atmosphere for your cocktail party, dinner, or event.
Minimum group size is a 3-piece group (trombone, guitar/banjo, acoustic bass), and I can add trumpet, clarinet/saxophone, drummer, and/or singer, depending on your needs. I use only seasoned professional musicians who know how to SWING.

I booked Bob Williams productions for my wedding cocktail hour this past September at Camp Pollock, Sacramento. Bob was super responsive and so pleasant to work with! He made sure we all agreed on the type of instruments/instrumentalists for the event and was so receptive to the vibe we were after. I made a point during cocktail hour to go sit down and enjoy the music for at least 20 mins and it was such a good decision. My husband on the other hand was caught in a social trap by the bar and could not come out to fully enjoy the band. He really wants to attend a gig of theirs in the future for redemption! All in all, super professional team, great vibe and sound. I highly recommend!

The band was charming and amiable and the music was fun and exciting for our All-American August Nights Party. Easy to communicate with before the party, their selections of Dixieland/ jazz, they were an absolute hit with my guests, who will be talking about them for a very long time to come.

Though my wife and I did not get a chance to listen directly, I could hear their music in the distance. It sounded amazing during our cocktail hour. Many of our guests complimented the band and thought they were very professional and fun!

Bob Williams provided the absolute best musical time for our party. The musicians were fabulous, their selections so enjoyable, we all totally loved it. We couldn’t go to New Orleans, so New Orleans came to us thru Bob and his group. It was a special time we will remember so fondly.

Our technology nonprofit organization had its first in-person event since the pandemic with a winter holiday elections and dinner event at an East Bay Indian restaurant. We wanted entertainment mixed organically through the night with member presentations and awards and food service. We chose a quintet/singer version of BWP, and we received universal positive comments from our 100+ attendees about the choice of pieces and quality of the playing. Intermixing of some Xmas standards in with the NOLA and jazz pieces also well received and set up a very festive atmosphere. Bob Williams was a joy to work with in terms of communication, arriving on time, and setting up and performing independently. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed playing for your group. Honestly, sometimes at these things no one pays attention to the music or musicians, which is perfectly fine, but your members were all extremely complimentary, made it very clear that we were appreciated, made sure we all had plenty of food and drink, and went out of their way to make us feel like guests. That doesn’t always happen, and it’s never expected. But it is surely noticed and appreciated. It’s really fun when gigs are fun, and it makes us want to play our best.
We are so happy we picked Bob and the band to play at the cocktail hour on our wedding day! The guests loved the music and their style was exactly what we were looking for. Furthermore, Bob was an absolute breeze to work with (which is so valuable what planning a wedding). We definitely recommend them for any event that needs something extra to really make it special!

You can stop searching for the PERFECT band, you found them! We went with a 4 piece: trumpet, trombone, stand up base and banjo for our backyard dinner party! We asked for a Dixieland, Disneyland type of music and they delivered! We received SEVERAL compliments from our guests. Thank you to Bob and the guys for making our dinner party such a success!
