Aakansha started BollyPop in 2015. Whether you are 4 or 74, Aakansha has a class designed for you and she will make sure that you leave the room with a big smile on your face. She has choreographed thrice for Clippers performances at the Staples Center, and has taught workshops at various corporate companies- NASA JPL, Warner Bros, Snapchat, Verizon Media, Core Digital, Bank of the West, Aerospace etc. She has also performed dance for brands like Athleta and American Girl and danced in a feature film- Vara a blessing. She has taught over 300 classes on Zoom- Birthday parties, workouts, corporate team building classes and party book events. (link hidden)

Born and raised in Delhi, Aakansha spent over a decade training in Bharatanatyam under Padmashree Geeta Chandran and toured around India. She also performed with Nectar Dance Company and Shakti Dance Company Productions directed by renowned Guru Viji Prakash’s and her daughter Mythili Prakash in California.
Aakansha has trained in Indian folk dance styles such as Garba, Kalbeliya, Ghoomar and Bhangra with various Delhi and Rajasthan based teachers who are specialists in their field. Aakansha acted and danced in the Hollywood movie Vara: A Blessing (2013) directed by Khyentse Norbu, shot by Bradford Young in Sri Lanka.
Her fitness program BollyPop, which she created in 2015 is becoming popular all over Southern California and Utah. Whether you are 4 or 74, Aakansha has a class designed for you and she will make sure that you leave the studio with a big smile on your face. Her devotion to the art is solely for the purpose of spreading happiness.
In 2020, Aakansha co-founded Kalbeliya World, an online dance platform to support folk artists from Rajasthan. She also works regularly with an NGO in Gujarat called Manav Sadhna.
