Anticipate a delightful musical journey aboard the Boogie Bus! During the scheduled session, the first half is dedicated to performing beloved classic children's songs. Picture tunes by Raffi and other catchy melodies (Yes - I will play Baby Shark) brought to life on the guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, piano, and drums. To add an exciting dimension, I often utilize a looper pedal, weaving a tapestry of sound by looping these tunes and incorporating multiple instruments simultaneously.
As the event progresses, the second half opens up a world of hands-on musical exploration for the young audience. The kids eagerly hop aboard, their eyes lighting up with excitement as they spot an array of instruments. In no time, they enthusiastically grab the nearest noisemaker and dive into the rhythm, shaking out every bit of enthusiasm.
After allowing the children to settle into this musical wonderland, we embark on a collaborative adventure. Guiding them gently, we transition into orchestrated songs, a merry jam session where everyone is invited to play and sing along. It's a magical experience, a chance for these young hearts to create, laugh, and revel in the joy of making music together.
Get ready for a boogie-filled bash of melodies and memories that will have your children talking about this musical adventure for years to come! 🎵🌟
Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Chris Kadletz, a 25-year-old musician hailing from the vibrant shores of Seal Beach, CA. My musical journey began around 2019, where I embarked on the path of self-taught musicianship, which soon became an inseparable part of my life.
In the year 2021, I acquired a 30-foot transit bus and envisioned a grand transformation—an evolution into a mobile concert venue, the Boogie Bus. While I was relatively new to the music scene, my passion and determination fueled this audacious venture. I lacked a vast network of musically inclined friends, but I firmly believed in the power of creation and community. ~If you build it, they will come~ Thus, the concept of the Boogie Bus was born.
My mission was clear: I filled the bus with a diverse array of instruments, every nook and cranny resonating with musical potential. My goal? To unite musicians and craft beautiful melodies. Along this incredible odyssey, I encountered like-minded individuals, craving the magic of musical collaboration. Many, just like myself, yearned for the chance to jam with fellow music enthusiasts.
During my tenure at the Environmental Nature Center's summer program in Newport Beach, I unearthed an additional passion—inspiring the young, curious minds of campers through the magic of music. Armed with instruments, I showcased the wonders of melodies, encouraging them to embrace the art form. The joy of witnessing these young hearts creating something beautiful together was unparalleled.
The Boogie Bus amplifies this joy on a grand scale. I can now take the essence of a jam session directly to your doorstep, extending this opportunity to young, imaginative minds. It's not merely about live music—it's an invitation to become a part of the creation process, to be inspired, and to craft something uniquely their own.
The Boogie Bus isn't just a vehicle; it's a gateway to a world of musical exploration and collaboration, bringing people together, one note at a time.
In terms of technical requirements, simplicity is the name of the game. All that's needed is a 30-foot parking spot, roughly the space equivalent of two cars. Ideally, this space would allow the passenger side of the bus, where the windows drop down, to be positioned closest to the party for an immersive experience.
Access to power is a significant plus. I come equipped with ample extension cords, making it easy to connect to a power source and energize the entire bus. However, if a power source isn't readily available, no worries—I have a reliable generator on hand that can seamlessly provide the necessary power. Flexibility is key, ensuring a smooth and vibrant musical escapade wherever the Boogie Bus finds its party spot! 🚌🔌✨
