Photography has always been my passion from capturing subtle expressions to energetic outbursts. These moments are so fleeting and I’ve dedicated years of my life to capturing them.
I've photographed for (link hidden), Blow The Scene, DC APA Film Festival, Empower DC, Project Survival Media, Sweet Tea Pumpkin Pie, and Sulu DC.
My clients are given the same dedication they give to their art and love. Any session involves getting to know the client and how they’ve always wanted to be seen.
I offer engagement shoots, day-after shoots, Fearless Bridal ("Trash The Dress"), photo booths, etc.
Truly the best photographer we found in the area willing to travel all the way to Bel Air from Washington for our engagement photos then wedding in Baltimore. Bora offered us a wedding photo package that suited our needs and price then e-mailed us a link to a private website within a week! Wow! My partner and I couldn't have asked for better pictures, timeliness, or professionalism. 5 stars!
I cannot believe how quickly our photos came back from Bora. My husband and I are very very happy with our photos quality and price. We had a scheduled and contracted time from one of her package deals, then she showed up early and wow'd our family when she was quick quick quick to snap those oh-so-cute pictures of my little nephew dancing with my father!
Honestly, Bora is the best at school pictures! Even though I was super worried about how I'd look and brought several outfits to try on, Bora was very sweet and took the time to help me get organized!! I needed my pictures quickly for my yearbook and she sent me them within two days! My family said they've never seen better pictures of me! Love her!
Bora was fantastic to work with. She listened very closely to what we were looking for - what moments we wanted her attention, and which moments she should keep her distance (ie during the ceremony). We spoke a number of times before the wedding, and she had thoughtful questions and helped us think through specific shots that we wanted to get. She came early to set up and get test shots, and she guided us very naturally to get a mixture of photos of us together as well as the family and a lot of the other guests. We were in touch regularly after the wedding, and we got the final products in 2-3 weeks (2 weeks online, CD arrived in the mail in 2.5 weeks). I recommend her very highly!
How can I describe Bora's photographs? Simply wonderful! She was very upbeat and cheerful upon arrival and had everyone smiling and laughing for every photograph. Our media department was very happy receive her work. We plan to have flyers made and our website updated with her pictures soon!
I hired Bora for our January 19th wedding now postponed for November 16th wedding at Hotel Monoco. She has been patient and flexible throughout the planning and postponing process! I absolutely adore her. She has been very professional and at the same time, and I felt like she was totally understandable. Bora responded to all of my many many MANY emails on "must have" shots. I am so excited about my wedding and I am so glad we hired her! I will update this as soon as we have our wedding & come back from our honeymoon!
Response from Bora Chung Photography:
Thanks, Kristen! Looking forward to photographing your wedding! Feel free to e-mail me at any time!
I had been browsing portrait photographers in d.c. for several months and Bora's sense of art direction in her photographs are unmatched. She captured our family as if we were in a magazine. Our photo package was, for all the hours we spent talking and shooting, a extremely reasonable price. Our package included 2 hours of photographing, retouching, lighting, coffee book table, and an online album.
Bora is extremely professional and amazing photographer and I highly recommend using her over any photographer in D.C. I recommended her to my family who are in awe over our photos.
Bora is by far the BEST portrait photographer! She was artistic and funny and communicated with us the whole way to make sure we got the shots we wanted. Bora was very affordable and offered flexibility with her times and package rates. We booked off of a friends recommendation, and had to give her a shout out!!!
First off, I have to say Bora is also a nursing student, right up my Healthcare alley. I'm a Holistic Doctor about to launch my first website and I desperately needed a photographer to do professional head-shots. Bora is friendly, down-to-earth, and up-beat. She made me feel comfortable and I couldn't be happier to have hired her.
Bora was a joy to work with. She arrived early, set up quickly, and had my daughter laughing along with her during the shoot. I love love love the photos she took of my daughter. Would hire her again in an instant!
