I play acoustic guitar and sing originals along with classic country favorites from artists like Strait, Cash, Hank Williams, Jennings, etc. I played in the Nashville area for over ten years, so I've built up years of experience. I've written with hit song writers as well. I usually go by a set list for my shows, so I'm limited on requests people may have at the show. I prefer not to perform at weddings or funerals, but I'm open to considering other events. I can supply my own PA and microphone if the venue does not have one, but I don't supply any lighting.

The event planner that books me for a gig can expect a professional, honest person to work with. I am a straight shooter and don't want to ever cheat anyone. With that being said, I do country music and it's mostly from the 80's and 90's. If your audience is into more of a variety of different genres and newer country; I'm probably not the guy you want to book. I do music by George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, and others of that style. I also add in some of my originals as well. If you want to hear old country music done the right way and with heart, I believe you will be happy with my services.
The Blue Ridge mountains echo through Brad Howard's voice, and you can feel his soul with every note. Brad is from the small town of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina and he knew from a very young age that he wanted to play and sing country music. He would listen to the country greats like Hank Williams and Willie Nelson and they became two of his biggest influences.
At the age of 18, his pursuit of music was put on hold after he enlisted into the United States Air Force. After spending some time in active duty he transferred into the National Guard. Brad's patriotism and respect for the military extends to his songwriting. He has received much praise for his song, "He's not a Fallen Soldier," which resonates with many who have lost a friend or loved one in the line of duty.
Brad has recorded three full length albums and an EP album. Two of his recorded songs have been nominated for Song of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists.
I do not have any particular requirements for lighting, staging, and sound. I play acoustic and don't need all the bells and whistles. I can supply my own PA if need be. If you supply the PA, I ask that you set it up for me to use. Not all PA's are the same, and I don't like to set-up a PA I'm not familiar with.
My greatest influences are George Strait, Tracy Lawrence, Hank Williams, and Willie Nelson. I started listening to George Strait when I was very young, and he is the first artist that made me love country music. I started listening to Tracy Lawrence while in high school. His great vocals made me want to sound like him. Hank Williams put heart and soul in his singing and his writing was off the charts. Willie Nelson's writing is so amazing and his performances are not glitz and glamour , but just done only the way Willie can do it.
