Brett could not have done a better job at our early November wedding! Leading up to the event he was a great communicator and always responded promptly to emails! He was such a great addition to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Beautiful voice and great musician!

Choosing an appropriate musician for a Celebration of Life is not the easiest task. Truly, I wasn't really even sure what we needed! I just knew we had one song in particular we wanted to be played, and Brett learned it for the event. He made the rest of the music selections and they were just right. Brett was super easy to work with and very professional. Had him at my wife’s 50th surprise party and had 80 guests who wanted to mix and mingle after not being together for a couple of years. Brett Gaertner was the absolute hit of the night! We booked him to perform for our wedding reception cocktail hours. Everyone loved his show so much that we wish we booked him for the night! Everyone was signing along and dancing before dinner even started! Brett was kind enough to rebook with us and transfer our deposit when our 1st wedding attempt was cancelled due to covid concerns. He was amazing every step of the planning process, and made us feel very much at ease during all of the crazy wedding planning. We can't recommend him enough, you will not be disappointed with his amazing talent, professionalism, and kindness!

Brett provided music at my father's celebration of life burial ceremony and I can't begin to say how much all of us enjoyed his guitar playing and beautiful voice. My father was a big Jim Croce fan and Brett took the time to learn a song that we requested and performed it beautifully.

Brett was perfect. Great music but not overwhelming during dinner and the beginning. As the night continued the crowed got so into it and it became a sing along. Everyone raved.

Brett stepped up to the plate to provide music for a quickly planned elopement exchange of vows with just the bride, groom and parents. He worked with a violinist to sing a meaningful song from Fidler on the Roof and in one day he worked up a version of Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors. Live music is so much better than canned music. We hope he will come back this time next year, post-pandemic, when the bride and groom’s families will host a large wedding celebration.

Brett was outstanding. Everyone at our party commented on how awesome he was. The bartender that we hired even said that he was one of the best performers that he had heard, which is saying quite a bit since he hears musicians quite often.
He also played all of the music that I requested and then some. He played well over the requested time and interacted with the audience throughout the entire evening. We couldn't have asked for more.

Brett rocked! Was completely on-time even though we booked him within 24 hours of the event. Met by the Chicago River and played guitar for my entire family. Even learned a new song that wasn't on his set list that morning. Big Thank You!

My anniversary dinner started as some crazy idea and snowballed into something amazing and over-the-top. I contacted Brett about playing 1 song for me and my husband at a restaurant while we are. While most vocalists gave me the run around or didn't even respond to my request, Brett got back to me right away and offered options about how the song would go. At the end of the day you don't know what you don't know and this was his area of expertise. Loved the suggestions and he made me feel comfortable with my choosing him. He executed my plan exactly as we had discussed. I can't say enough about him. Such an amazing voice to accompany such a memorable dinner. Thanks Brett!

There is extremely way to much to say about Brett. He's perfect in every way. He came to our Adult Day Center and did a wonderful job! Brett got our Elderly and Young people up out their chairs. Brett Gaertner was hired for my wedding in July of 2014. He showed up early, was organized & set up quickly, and preformed beautifully. I hand picked the song for when I walked down the isle, which was an original song of Brett's that I heard him perform at a cafe once and fell in love with, and it was everything I wanted it to be! We were looking for a local artist to play at our wedding reception for dinner and cocktail hour. I happened to see Brett preform at an event, and immediately knew he was perfect for our wedding. He was entertaining, fun, personable, and added a truly unique element to our wedding. He read the crowd and made appropriate choices to keep our guests entertained.

One thing that was especially important to us was our first dance, father-daughter and mother-son dances. Brett learned three new songs and made these dances unbelievably special for us.

We had an afternoon picnic event at the Milwaukee yacht club and hired Brett to play for us. With a wide variety of ages and music styles it's always hard to please everyone. But Brett did. Everyone said how great his voice was and his mix of music styles. And above and beyond that ....everybody said what a sweet soul he had and a great energy. We enjoyed him so much, at the end of the show we hired him for a second evening at our tiki bar club so more members could experience his music.
He's very professional, shows up on time, does what he says he's going to do, all with a great spirit!

Brett Gaertner plays upbeat, fun music that makes the beer taste good. He has a nice stage presence that, when mixed with his sense of humor and diverse playlist, makes for an excellent show. In a very short time, he went from being background noise to being the focal point in the room with people making requests. He is a solid performer with a wonderful voice and terrific technical skills.

I had Brett perform for my wedding ceremony in 2008 and it was EXACTLY what I had hoped for and envisioned. He has the perfect voice for weddings - everyone was in tears when I walked down the aisle to him singing.
