Brian offers a comedy show free of fowl language, along with fun innuendo and a play on words that keeps you on your toes. Life experience is how Brian lives and he will share his life with you!
Brian was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in the small town of Vicksburg, MI which is about 20 miles south of Kalamazoo. He first came to Florida for his senior year in college, and after some years spent back in Michigan and Colorado digging his car out of the snow, Brian moved to Florida permanently in 2004.
Comedy has always been Brian’s greatest passion. (Well, okay, there is one other thing I get more passionate about, but she won’t let me use her name onstage.) He likes being entertained by other comics, and loves the thrill of making an audience laugh.
People often ask Brian how he comes up with his routines. “For me, inspiration…comes from just about anywhere. It can be a road sign off I-75 in Kentucky—Big Bone Lick State Park. (Bet a lot of guys take their girlfriends to that place for picnics.) It can be the crazy stuff people around us do and say every day, or quite often, the even crazier stuff that’s going on in my own life.” Basically, the potential for humor is all around us, and inside us, and you just need to know how to harness it.
People also ask, “How can you get up on stage and tell jokes? That has to be terrifying.” “When a joke falls flat, it is extremely uncomfortable. But what is more terrifying to me is the prospect of a “regular” job. I lasted in one for all of two years, and I can still feel the handcuffs biting into my wrists. Comedy is my calling, and the stage is my work place. I love going to the office and working late.”
Creating most of his own venues such as The Komedy Kamping Tour and setting up rooms in the SW Florida area, the summer of 2013 Brian mentored in and was the house emcee for The Hilton Head Comedy and Magic Club. He had the great opportunity to work hand and joke with the well known Kerry Pollock. Upon returning to the Naples FL Brian opened up Old Naples Comedy Club as owner, operator, promoter and performer.
Brian travels with a full audio system for your convenience. For a great show some sort of riser always helps, but not required. Light can be arranged through Brian with advanced notice.
