Overview
Fake motivational "expert". I give a presentation called "How to be Successful" using an overhead projector and stick figure drawings. I use my experience in the corporate world (AT&T) and my own company plus watching a number of lame inspirational speakers - time I will never get back.

What to Expect
I'm a good fit for corporate events where everyone has been subjected to a morning or day of meetings and talks and where I'm brought in as a "Motivational Expert". It starts out looking like I'm yet another inspirational speaker, but things start to go off the rails and then I pull out the overhead projector and my stick figure drawings.
After dinner speaking is also a good fit.
In large venues, I use a document camera with a light board which creates the same old school and absurd overhead effect on the big screens.
I normally do about 30-45 minutes.
About
Besides being a comedian, Brian Longwell has an MS in electrical engineering and spent 11 years working for AT&T’s Bell Laboratories. While designing microchips by day, he started working as a professional comedian by night.
Most comedians aspire to “quit their day jobs”, but Brian used his growing income from comedy to start his own technology company and in 1992 he left Bell Labs to create Special Projects Group, Inc.
Brian Longwell has worked for years as a professional comedian at venues in the US and has toured the UK. He decided to combine is corporate background with his comedy experience and now gives “presentations” using an old style overhead projector with stick figure drawings tackling humorous topics like “Why Work?”, “How to be Successful” and has done topical presentations such as “Why Vote?” . His unique talent was recognized at the New York Comedy Festival by his inclusion in the Andy Kaufman competition in which he was a finalist.
On the corporate front, Brian has performed for AT&T, Hewlett Packard, McKinsey, John Hancock, and many medium and small size companies.
Additional Booking Notes
I can bring my own overhead project (no one seems to have them anymore) and I also have a document camera and light board for large venues.
I also can bring a portable screen if the event is in New England.
For large venues, a lav mike is needed - which I can also bring.
