Overview
While I really enjoy playing original rock music with my band, Brian Wolff & The Howlers, all over Austin... I equally enjoy performing solo and acoustic at hotels, fine dining establishments and private events. There's something very special about having the opportunity to meet the moment for each individual event.
For each event, I play a little something for everyone, ranging from The Beatles to Modest Mouse to U2 to Franz Ferdinand and the list goes on and on... catering each setlist to each environment and crowd.
Also, I have over 15 holiday songs prepared for your Christmas parties to mix in!

We had Brian play at our Christmas party with about 60 guests. His music was perfect for the setting. He plays songs that everyone loves and even took requests. It was loud enough to create a ambience for the party, but not so loud that you couldn't talk.to other guests. Would love to have him again!

Brian delivered what we expected and provided the perfect addition to our dinner which also had games, face painters, balloon artists, etc. Brian was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Brian, and would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a singing guitarist to hire him!
I was so lucky to hire Brian fairly soon before the party due to my original singer having a medical emergency. Brian was quick with communication, incredibly kind, and very accommodating. I had given him quite a handful of “instructions” as he was performing for my partners surprise party.
He set the playlist but allowed me to pick a few songs that I really wanted to hear and best of all he ended his set playing “have yourself a merry little Christmas” since Christmas music is my partners absolute favorite. The Christmas twist was received SO WELL and everyone loved it.
Everyone had an absolute blast listening to Brian! He brought everything that was needed and only required a single outlet. His music wasn’t too over powering so guest were still able to have conversations but could also dance when they wanted.
Best of all, the birthday girl loved him! We would definitely have Brian back and look forward to when we can!
Brian was awesome at our corporate service anniversary party. he knew the vibe, super easy to work with, communicated well, and has a beautiful sound. We will definitely work with him again

Timely, professional and incredibly talented! Hired brian to play a back yard pool party for my 40th. Brian felt as much like part of the party as he did just a musical act. He even let my 85 year old dad wander up and join him with harmonica for a short jam session. 10/10 recommend!
We interviewed a number of musicians Brian quickly rose to the top of the potential candidates, we went to watch him at one of his public gigs and that confirmed he was the right performer for our event. What's even better is that Brian was able to exceed our expectations, everyone at the party commented how great he was and I couldn't agree more. Thank you for making our party special!
We loved having Brian play at our business reception at Abel's on the Lake! He is very friendly and has a wonderful voice and sound. We highly recommend him to other groups and events of all types!

We hired Brian for our corporate event at Guero's outdoor oak garden - he played amped and an acoustic set and everyone loved it! Loud enough to enjoy over the sound of 85 people in an outdoor setting but not too loud where we couldn't enjoy conversations. Great variety of music! Would hire again!

What to Expect
On this platform, I'm mostly seeking acoustic gigs... so I'll stick with that side of things for the time being.
Over the years, I've honed my craft in being able to fit in with almost any kind of environment and provide just a little something for everyone in attendance. From weddings to corporate events to fine hotels to amazing local bars and breweries... I've had the pleasure of performing at just about any kind of performance you could imagine. I can be the energetic, life-of-the party kind of singer... or I'm just as happy being a background music kind of guy. It all just depends on what the gig calls for.
Expect a mix of music from each decade dating back to the 60's. Mostly rooted in rock and roll, but I'm not afraid to dive into the more pop, love song side of things to make sure everyone is having fun. I look forward to working with you to craft a beautiful musical/entertainment experience for you and your guests.
About
Brian Wolff is a guitarist and front man based out of Austin, Texas. Born in upstate New York, Brian moved to Austin in 2012 and has taken the local music scene by storm. Wolff’s musical style draws influence heavily from Classic Rock, 90’s Alternative, and Blues. His hard-hitting playing style has been described as “tasteful, yet aggressive.” Brian was one of the founding members of the band Fair City Fire, a mainstay of Austin performance venues for over 7 years.
Led by Brian’s playing and his powerhouse vocals, Fair City Fire produced two LPs, The Simple Truth and Shake Your Bones. They embarked on five national tours, playing in legendary clubs such as Antones, Stubbs and Mohawk in Austin, Bowery Electric and Pianos in New York, the Warehouse Live in Houston, Ironworks and Babeville in Buffalo, and The Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis. The City of Austin even declared August 31, 2019 “Fair City Fire Day,” in which they were featured in a presentation by the Mayor before their set at Antone’s.
When the band went on hiatus during the pandemic and eventually split up, Brian turned inward creatively. He began a podcast, Greetings from Wherever, where he features interviews with artists across a variety of media: comedy, photography, writing, and more. He has livestreamed concerts showcasing his new material, performing both acoustic and electric sets. His solo work is more introspective, personal, and lyrically complex than anything he has done before.
He has teamed up with the music producer, Frenchie Smith and The Bubble Recording Studios on a five-song EP with the first single being due out in the Fall of 2021. His songwriting has been influenced by a wide range of artists including Bruce Springsteen, Manchester Orchestra, and Jason Isbell.
Brian’s full band features Joe Valadez on drums and Tim Moen on bass. They performed their first show together August 29th at Swan Dive as part of the Hot Summer Nights Festival in Austin. The new band show and upcoming EP will be something for the music world to watch for!
