Riley Benda

An audience should expect a comfortable mixture of covers and originals performed mostly by a couple acoustic guitars and excellent vocals. The sound is a mixture of Indie/Pop. Also, the audience should expect to laugh, we like to have fun.

Riley Dean Benda is a singer/songwriter from Enid, Oklahoma. Growing up isolated and protected most of his life, Riley knew little about the world outside of conformity. As he states, "My high school was centered around sports and relationships. Music was not an option at that time". However, being the son of a worship leader, he was encouraged to begin playing drums at an early age and eventually picked up the acoustic guitar later in his high school years. As he entered his freshman year at Oklahoma State University, perceiving success as a monetary value, he pursued business as a means for that. During the summer of 2012, Riley had a divine encounter. What he can only describe as miraculous grace, Riley rededicated his life to God. Returning to Oklahoma State, Riley began to struggle with a pull of the heart towards music. With encouragment from friends and family, he started singing and playing again.

We have our own backdrop, which is about 10 ft. wide by 5 ft. tall. We also string christmas lights to present the backdrop. As far as sound, we unfortunately do not own our own sound system. If it is required, we can make arrangements to rent some equipment.
