We loved the music you played at University Mall for valentine's day! Thanks for your talent and friendliness!
Seriously made my wedding so so special. The ceremony was unreal with the harp music, and all our guests loved it!!! So so stunning
She took two special requests for songs on our ceremony and played them wonderfully. Arrived early and was ready to go. So happy with how everything turned out. The harp is also so relaxing for the frazzled wedding day nerves.
Brigette was a pleasure to work with. She arrived early and was ready to go. Her music is absolutely beautiful. She played for my father's viewing and we couldn't have been happier. Her beautiful music added a peaceful and restful atmosphere on a very difficult day for our family. I would highly recommend her!
Bridget was a delight to work with. The party guests continually said that her music was beautiful to listen to.

THE PROCESS:
1. Budget for Live Music
Decide your budget for live music along with the other aspects of your event.
2. Research harpists in your area
Read about their experience, reviews, and FAQ, and watch their videos to see if you can envision what would best fit your big day!
3. Contact
Reach out to check availability and get a bespoke quote for your event. Make sure to provide as many details as possible, such as type of event, timeframe, and location. You can message me through gigsalad to get a custom quote!
4 . Booking
Once I confirm your date is available, we can proceed with booking! To secure your date, I require $100 deposit and a signed contract. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event date.
I will email you to coordinate your music selection and all day-of details. Even if your event date is far out, I will stay in touch to make sure I can be of any assistance!
5. Preparing for the Event
We will meet to discuss your vision for your event music, and you may also need to take steps with your venue and/or planner to ensure the space will be ready for the harp the day-of (flat ground and cover for outdoor venues). On my end, I will create and prepare your setlist and practice it with any necessary cues in mind to ensure smooth transitions on the big day.
6. The Big Day!
The big day has arrived! I will arrive to your venue no less than an hour before my playing start time, in order to have time to navigate parking, transport my harp and all equipment, set up, and tune the harp.
Then all you have to do is relax and enjoy your event and its magical soundtrack that you chose. :)
Bridget Ence Jackson is a professional harpist from Las Vegas, Nevada who has been playing the harp for 18 years. In her youth she studied with Tara Ogden-Skouson, harpist for Duo Mystique and Las Vegas Philharmonic Orchestra. After graduating high school, Bridget moved to Utah to attend Utah Valley University, where she studied under Utah's Ballet West principal harpist, Janet Peterson. She had opportunities to perform with the UVU Symphony, Lyceum Philharmonic, UVU Wind Symphony, and UVU Chamber Ensemble, as well as solo performances for UVU Commencement, board and faculty gatherings, and the unveiling of new university buildings. While attending UVU she earned a music scholarship every semester, including the prestigious Rebecca Marriott Champion Music Scholarship, and was a winner of the competitive 2016 UVU Concerto Competition. In 2017 she graduated Magna cum Laude and was the first person to graduate from UVU with a Bachelor's Degree in Harp Performance.
Now, as a professional freelance harpist, Bridget is hired to provide unforgettable live music weddings and events. She has established a successful studio in Orem UT where she composes, arranges, and records music, as well as teaches a blend of traditional and Suzuki harp method to students of all ages. She is also active in her community serving as the secretary for the American Harp Society Utah Chapter. Bridget regularly performs with local groups such as BalletNEXT, West Valley Symphony, the Utah Chapter of Witness Music, and StringFX. You may also recognize Bridget as the harpist in the band Little Moon, winner of the acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk competition. Bridget has toured the US with Little Moon and loves the music she makes with the band.
I can provide my own sound system if needed (it usually depends on the size of the space or whether indoor/outdoor).
For outdoor events, the harp needs to be placed in the shade, and on a hard, flat surface. This is to protect the underneath of the instrument and to keep it from tipping over, as harps are prone to do. Additionally, the harp is sensitive to climate - air that is too hot or too cold, or even too dry or too humid, can cause strings to break and even damage the structure of the instrument. I will not play outdoors if the temperature is under 50 degrees or over 90 degrees. If the weather is inclement you will need to provide an alternate location. These stipulations are for the protection of the expensive, fragile instrument.
