Bárbara Zayas is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter and instrumentalist raised between the Matamoros, Mexico and Brownsville, Texas border. In 2016, she began her professional career in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, where she had the opportunity to develop her music of various Latin genres (salsa, bachata, pop) with Hispanic communities in the east coast. In recent years, she has collaborated with international organizations such as the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, DC to advance issues such as migration, violence, and climate change.
