Cake was a dream to work with and I feel so fortunate to build an ongoing partnership with her. Not only was her communication swift, clear and considerate, she accommodated my schedule changes and helped promote the event on her social channels. Cake Moss is a true professional, she can come in and host any occasion and her performances are just WOW. Crowds love her and I would highly recommend working with her. She won't let you down. Give respect and you'll get respect.

Cake Moss told me she would not accept this event unless I paid through Zelle or Venmo.
I was hesitant and asked if I could pay through GigSalad, and she said no. Because they charge too many fees. I ended up paying $250 through Zelle on Dec 2 for an event on Dec 10. Unfortunately, 4 days later, on Dec 6, my family started to come down with Covid. I let her know I could have to cancel or postpone the party because we were all sick and/or exposed to Covid. Then 2 days after that, Dec 8th, more of my family was very sick and testing positive. My mother is now very ill and we are devastated. I let Cake Moss know I would need to cancel the party and I asked for a refund. She told me no since she already blocked out the date of the party. I asked her if she would at least meet me in the middle and refund half. She said no. During such a challenging time we are in, I really thought she would work with me and refund something. So basically, she was paid $250 up front for a job not received, and we get nothing out of it. Harsh reality and lesson to learn on my part. I guess she figured she needed the money much more than we do during such a challenging time for my family. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because we're being kicked pretty hard when we are already down, and it feels pretty awful.

Response from Cake Moss:
Hey Daniel! Pretty disappointed to see you post this review. I wish I could post screen caps of things, as you messaged me on Instagram several times, then literally Zelled me before I even fully confirmed. I told you many times how sorry I was about your family, but you paid a deposit, and deposits are non refundable, and as I also told you multiple times I already turned down several higher paying job offers to come and do yours. That’s what a deposit does. But thank you so much for this extremely negative review on a page I use for business during the holidays. Your family will get better, but this review will always be here. Thanks.
Cake Moss was the highlight of everyone night! She was so professional and communicated with me to make sure everything went perfectly 🥰 she was very accommodating with my request of adding a very slow high school musical number and making it blend so effortlessly into a very high energy set list. She had a variety of beautiful outfits to go with her twerk-alious playlist. Outfit changes were quick and allowed us to a small intermission to use the restroom and refill our drinks. overall she was so kind, friendly and interactive with my guests. RECOMMEND BOOKING!
Drag Queen
Cake was a bit pushy to work with from the start. She wanted to book the show off the website, which we could not do. When asked to get a new picture she asked if we really wanted a drag queen. When talking about technical issues we were experiencing she gave us flack about her work schedule being too busy. To be fair here, the technical issues were imagined on my side because I was working with different drag queens who have different styles and I thought she would be unable to perform the show based on the previous drag queen we used. After working through the details she showed me she could and I appreciate that.
We got the technical issues figured out and Cake had a really nice performance, going through four different outfits. She did a great job during each number and attempted to interact with the crowd a bit, which, is wonderful. The changing of outfits did complicate things as we had had a previous drag queen perform who did one outfit and I did not have to MC at all. I personally was not all that prepared for MC duties as I was not sure how long the outfit changes would take, Cake had told me 1-2 minutes, it took about 5 minutes, which is probably standard. I do not rate her down because of the time difference. I just want people to be aware they may need to entertain the crowd in between outfits. The outfits Cake had were wonderful and fun and spirited.
The main reason I rated her three starts was communication style before the event as well as at the end of her show she decided to give an unsolicited advertisement of the dispensary she works at. This was not appreciated or professional.
Since putting this review up Cake has contacted me and demanded I take down the review and called me a liar. She said she never advertised her dispensary however, I have multiple employees who attended the event who can attest to the fact that she did.
I have edited the review to be more clear. Cake had a wonderful performance, her communication style came off to me as passive aggressive but it could have been my interpretation of her emails. If you are looking for a performer I would not tell you not to use Cake, just be clear on what you want from her and what she is allowed and not allowed to say.

Response from Cake Moss:
Wow! Well Timothy, you communicated I had to do an hour show, without changes, the DAY BEFORE the show without warning. And then you said it was ok if I did my changes and different numbers, clearly you lied instead of being up front with me. If you would’ve communicated more clear in the weeks leading up to the performance, than we would’ve been on the same page. But thanks for this negative review in the middle of a pandemic! And you’re welcome for doing your companies pride show. Make sure you remember the lgbt all year and not just during June!
So happy to have hired Cake to perform for a company virtual Pride event. She was very open to our asks and took the time to give feedback and input on how to help make our event better. Would recommend and will definitely keep in mind for our future events.
