Calligraphy and Engraving Services

I am a mixed media artist, speaker, teacher and coach residing in St. Charles, IL. My passion is to take my multiple unique art forms and create pieces of art that unveil a sense of healing, power and comfort; giving you the emotional freedom that words alone can not.
I began studying calligraphy as a way to transition into my role as a stay at home mom. Several years later, my mom asked me if I could put my fancy writing in glass. The results were amazing and now I am a professional engraver. I especially love on-site engraving events working with Neiman Marcus and Von Maur in the Chicago area.
My art has always been my therapy to help me through difficult times of stress, anxiety, depression and grief. I am a Certified Zentangle® Teacher (CZT). I use this art form to help others find hope and healing through art.
I love teaching and tutoring kids of kids of diverse age groups . Teaching Summer art camps are my favorite!
My company, Designs by Starla, features my bold and magnificent art pieces that span a variety of mediums including: glass, fabric, stone, wood, and canvas all bearing my unique vision: to create, educate and inspire.
Through my Six Steps to Divine Authenticity, I help those who are struggling with depression, anxiety and grief find hope and healing by discovering their true authentic purpose so that they can experience more confidence, joy and passion in their life. I provide customized support using the Intuitive Body Process, art, reflective tools and my own artistic experience to inspire them to live out God’s will and purpose for their life
