Our band lives by the following verse:
2 Corinthians 3:18 - And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
We do not charge to play- we feel it is the love of the Lord that guides us and provides. If the organization chooses to have a lover offering for us, we use our funds for our Project Called: Christmas Spirit which is a program in which last year we provided 250 needy families with a hot meal and items they may need. Anything from Coats to Toys for their children were given free of charge to people. We are continuing this mission this year also.

RICK LANEY
1 Corinthians 10:12"So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!" Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believe in me shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 14:6 "Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me." John 3:3 "Jesus declared, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again" These verses sum up everything Rick believes in. If you are not firmly rooted in Christ, you will fall. Sin separates us from God, so therefore we must stand firm in Christ or we will fall short of His glory. We can have that glory because Jesus Christ came to Earth to die on the cross to save us from sin. This is called salvation or being born-again (John 3:1-21). If you are not born-again, you will stand before God and He will say "depart fromme, for I never knew you" (Matthew 7:21-23) Rick began playing guitar when he was 14. He was in rock bands and country bands over the years but they did not last. His heart was in the music but it wasn't the type of music God wanted him to play. He was asked to begin playing on my Church worship team in 2008. He Started to develop a love for contemporary Christian music. Playing in Church once a week wasn't enough, He wanted to play more. I wasn't going to hide my talent in the ground (Matthew 25:18). He joined Calvary Cross in 2011, playing gigs at least once a month. This is what he wanted, to play more often, using the talents God blessed me with to glorify His name. "I may not be the best guitar player in the world but that doesn't matter, according to scripture we are to make a joyful noise unto the Lord (Psalm 98:4 and Psalm 100:1)."
