Cap’n Dar and Mike recently performed for our community and delighted us all with their incredible musical talent. Their song choices and skilled artistry left a lasting impression, and also reminded us how much joy live music can bring to our lives. We can't wait to have them back to perform for us again!!

Capn Dar has been playing at my establishment for years and has always been engaging with the guests, performing great songs. He always has a "trivia" with prizes that is a nice presentation on a Sunday Afternoon.

Capn Dar was the perfect finishing touch to our Margaritaville Night at the Dash! He was engaging with the Parrotheads of the Triad, and he even went above and beyond with Jimmy Buffett trivia/prizes during his performance. Highly recommend!

I have tip my hat to Gig Salad and Capn Dar. The website is great and I found a great band because of it. As far as Capn Dar, these guys were awesome! They played at my house on the 4th for a little shindig we through. They played a great set. Also, communicating with them prior to the event was easy. Frankly, it was the only part of the party that was easy! They also gave me a little history lesson on who wrote the original lyrics for Wagon Wheel. Greatly appreciate you guys!

Our 40th class reunion committee engaged Capn Dar (aka Mike Robinson) to play at our Friday night party (a high-profile event that served to kick off Elon's 2021 Homecoming weekend). Our social was created to attract a broad cross-section of Elon alumni and their pals, and we could not have found a better performer for music entertainment than Capn Dar. Not only did Mike arrive armed with a proven set list of popular tunes that resonated well with our guests, his masterful engagement with his audience throughout the evening made for a genuinely customized performance. Capn Dar truly set the vibe that made our party fun from the very first song to the final tune of the night. For the balance of Homecoming weekend, I fielded countless compliments about the Capn Dar performance not only from our party guests but also from Elon staff who themselves kept hearing of praises made by returning alums. No wonder why Capn Dar has earned such a loyal following in central NC!

We hired Capn Dar for a charity gala that was island themed. The band was perfect! Great sound, fun music and very professional to work with. Would definitely hire again and recommend for any event.

Cap'n Dar & Friends performed at Abernethy Laurels on Thursday, May 20th and fulfilled our evening with fun, excitement, dancing, and most important, smiling faces on the nearly 100 Independent Living Residents in attendance. Communication with Mike leading up to the event was excellent. To say the band is talented is a vast understatement. Every member engaged the audience and led to a fond experience that we will cherish and never forget. We are honored to have them return for a second performance in August and hope for MANY more thereafter. My hat is off to this group of talented individuals. We had Capn Dar for our daughter's engagement party and he was Terrific! Professional, easy to work with and has tremendous talent! Our outdoor event quickly turned into an indoor event due to the rain, but he seamlessly adjusted and had everyone thoroughly entertained! High Recommended!

Cap'n Dar a/k/a Mike Robinson, whenever he is able, is always an integral component of the Sailors' Social for the Lake Norman Annual Hospice Regatta. Mike always gets the joint rockin', plays favorites, requests and even does some music trivia. He brings so much to the event, and always reminds his audience what Hospice's role in the community is. I believe he and his band have to be a big plus to any party or event.

This is the first time we had Capn Dar and Friends acoustical group play at one of our events. They came highly recommended and we were very pleased. Mike Robinson (Capn Dar) was easy to deal with. He communicated with me in the days leading up to the event. He's a very pleasant guy to work with. We recently hired Cap'n Dar to play at my husband's milestone birthday party for 50+ guests at The Cabin in Davidson.
