I can bring my keyboard and sound system, qnd play 30-60 minutes of my original children's music! They're fun, often comedic piano pop songs. I can play some recognizable, family-friendly covers as well. My music is appropriate for all ages. I talk with the audience between songs, and I encourage audience participation by teaching them how to sing some songs, as well as how to do the dance moves to a fun dancing song about making pizza!
You can hear my songs by listening to "Captain Cool Kid" on Spotify, or any streaming site. Be on the lookout for my second album, which will come out in 2024!
Very professional, creative with a room full of 3-6 year olds. Songs are insightful and fun. Willing do a few covers.
Captain Cool Kid came to our primary school to perform for grades K-2. The kids were engaged the whole time and sang along to the fun songs CCK played! They especially loved the breakfast song. I still hear kids talking about him and his songs! Even the adults here were entertained and enjoyed his performance. If you're looking for a musical entertaining time for kids and adults, I highly recommend Captain Cool Kid for your event.

Me, with a keyboard, playing it, and singing songs. I will interact with the audience between songs, and involve them in a few of the songs! I will play mostly originals, but will also play some recognizable covers. The tone will be lighthearted and fun.
Hey there! My name is Nathan Brown, and I write and perform children's music under the name "Captain Cool Kid". My music is silly, catchy, and mostly humorous but sometimes serious. My genre is "piano pop". If you're familiar with Ben Folds, I'm like him, but for kids! When I'm not making music, I'm teaching elementary school.
I recently released my first album, "Songs 4 Every 1", during May 2021. Ever since then, I have been wanting to perform these songs live for an audience of children. I would love to bring some fun music to your gathering. I love to play at basically any public gathering that have some kids in the audience! I've recently started this handy account to book gigs in 2023, and am looking to play as many shows as I can this year, especially in the summer.
My song "Breakfast for Me" was a finalist in the Minnesota State Fair 2022 talent show, and performed live on the Grandstand!
You can read an article featuring a 2022 interview with me at the County News Review website. Unfortunately I'm not able to post links in this biography but if you search "Captain Cool Kid
County News Review", you will find it.
You can check out some pictures from live shows I've done by viewing my "Captain Cool Kid" Facebook page.
I will provide all necessary equipment: a keyboard & stand, a microphone, and and amplifiers. I just need a single wall outlet to plug my power strip into.
