Overall, I was impressed with John's work.
The only minor things that were noted were that we would have liked John to have dressed more professionally (as this was a more formal event) and let us know that he would require a tip jar beforehand.
Other than that, we were very impressed! Great pictures! All guests were eager to show off their pictures. All guests were all smiles after getting their pictures drawn. All positive comments from the guests. Overall, I think he added something special to our wedding reception.
Also, he was early. He was a great communicator! He was quick to answer emails and phone calls.
Aside from the minor things, I would commission his services again.
Caricatures by John was a hit! He was so nice and did a great job. Everyone at our 4th fest was amazed by his talent and really enjoyed having him there with us!
This was a talked about all week after our party.. We even paid for an extra hour and he totally willing to stay back and ensure everyone got a drawing.. He was so amazing with his drawings, very polite , communicative and on time. Will totally recommend his service, your guest will love him.

We hired John for our son’s wedding. What a hit! I wish I had booked for longer as John stayed busy with guests and even stayed late to finish up the line! Everyone I spoke to really enjoyed this. Highly recommend!

I hired John to help me with a surprise marriage proposal.
He went above and beyond to make the day turn out perfect. He is personable, energetic and passionate.
He volunteered his services on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Eve to make our day even more special. We ended up going with a New Years Eve surprise proposal.

John Calvin Whitfield was born August 4, 1967 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He has been an artist for as long as he can remember. His creative outlook started early in life. John was stricken with Cerebral Palsy at birth. As a child he was also plagued with horrible cold induced allergies. Many times John found himself inside alone. For most children this reality would be “a hard pill to swallow”. But, John Whitfield picked up an art pencil and found his calling.
In his formative years John continued to use art as an outlet. He would work heartbreaks, and hard luck struggles out of his system through the countless hours spent at the drawing board. His art had become a therapy
After receiving a Bachelor or Art degree from the University of Oklahoma. John unleashed his unique creative perspective. Today, John Calvin Whitfield defines himself as an artist. He makes a comfortable living producing his work for a number of clients. He simply thinks: No one can tell you who you are. That is your decision. I choose laughter over pain.
