Caricatures by Ruy

I booked Ruy for my 30th birthday and I swear they were the party's hit! It was a carnival theme and having the caricaturist just brought the whole thing home for us. They were funny, enjoyable to talk too, and just had awesome drawings of us. They were on time and even stayed a bit after to finish up the sketch that was started. Honestly, I'm writing this review just so that it'll be easier to find their profile when I book again. Thanks for helping out and being my first gig salad experience.

Ruy was hired for my daughters 1st communion party. He was on time, friendly and overall did a great job. My guests loved having their pictures done. Definitely recommend.

We had Ruy draw caricatures for our wedding guests. Everyone loved him and thought it was a great idea. We had several people wait all night, as he was just that busy! He was very flexible with timing, staying later than we initially asked for guests that still wanted caricatures (although he was fast in completing them). And he was able to do ours while we were eating dinner, so we didn’t have to wait to get back to our guests. He also gave the option of sending him a picture from the wedding, completing at a later date. I found him engaging when we sat for the picture. I would absolutely recommend him and hire him again if we ever had a need.

For my daughter's birthday we wanted something different. Instead of the bouncy castles and face painting, we thought the kids would love to take home a caricature drawing of themselves. We are so happy we booked Ruy! He was amazing and the kids had a blast! Ruy is professional, punctual and patient. He even stayed a little over the scheduled time to finish up a couple of kids. I highly recommend him for your next event. The drawings came out wonderful and its a great keepsake for the kids and parents! We would definitely use him for future parties.

I was looking for a caricature artist for a big surprise party that I was hosting in my home. I thankfully found Ruy online, and knew right away through his easy and responsive communication style that I made the right choice.
Ruy arrived early, allowing him time to set up and start drawing our party guests. Everyone was excited to have him and he did a spectacular job with the drawings. I would hire him again and I highly recommend having Ruy draw his caricatures at any event! ---Ruy also did a special drawing for the guest of honor in his studio at home... it was fantastic, a huge hit, and looks exactly like the picture I provided.
