Know a person who's retiring?
How about a couple about to wed!
How about the host of a party, whom you'd like to honor with a digital portrait BEFORE Sunshower shows up to draw people from life at your party!
Sunshower Rose holds a BA in Fine Art and has been a professional artist since the early 1980’s.
Her teaching and tutoring is well known in the Verde Valley, Arizona.
She has also performed her art within a concept that she created called Art Concerts.
Because her fortes revolve around the human face and figure, she has drawn, painted & digitally executed approximately 100,000 faces in her lifetime. Her reputation precedes her in the realm of Caricatures, drawing at events and online presences globally.
I don't use an easel. Been there, done that. More casual now. I bring a drawing board that I place on my lap, and add paper as I go for each caricature.
It's nice when the lighting at the event is already 'good enough' for me to be able to see a person's face. Sure, I can bring my own lights, but that get's cumbersome, and can bother my subjects.
Two small tables - to hold my materials, please.
Three chairs, one for me - and two for my subjects -- remembering -- I can only draw ONE face at a time!
If there's live music, I prefer to be seated a good distance from any speakers. That way I can easily communicate with my subjects.
I also ROVE at events. This is when I draw - standing. Often the person I'm drawing is 'doing something else - some activity' - and is unaware that I'm drawing them. Once complete (30 seconds to 1 minute), I hand them their caricature with its cellophane sleeve to protect it!

Caricaturists in L.A. - like Universal Studios; Orange County, CA -- Movieland Wax Museum.
I used to draw portraits at the latter mentioned. On my breaks, I'd go and watch the caricaturist, whose work was projected live, 'above and ' the artist. The speed of the creation of these caricatures amazed me! I promised myself that I would do that professionally, too!
Good lighting, if possible - on your end. Two small tables. 3 chairs. That's it!
