Mikey's caricatures are very fast with a fun and funny cartoon theme, side-view, single caricatures (one person per caricature - no couples) drawn in black & white on 11"x17" heavy stock paper and then put into a clear protective clear sleeve. Each caricatures take 3-5 minutes and are great for any occasion, from casual private parties and picnics to corporate events.
A graduate of The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale, Mikey J has been a professional caricature artist for over 45 years, beginning his career at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida in the 1970's.

Mikey was the best part of our party! He captured people so well and everyone loved it, so very entertaining! As he did them we hung them along the wall so it ended up being a really cool art show as well. Everyone also greatly appreciated having a fabulous personal memento to take home. It was fun to watch and fun to see yourself and friends in Caricature! Most people will be framing theirs, I know I am!

Hired Mikey J for our Girl Scout bridging ceremony. The girls loved it!!!! His pictures were amazing, he took his time to add something unique to each one (e.g. we have one girl who loves bunnies, he put on her pictures and she could not have been more excited!) He was early and what not rushing immediately at 6:00 when his time was up) I was a bit nervous I have to say, hiring someone for a kids event- 14 seven years can be hard to please! The girls were SUPER excited as soon as they saw that first picture. He got all the girls pictures done and then had plenty of time to other kids and family.
Mikey was awesome! He can really knock out quick, accurate, attractive caricatures and our guests loved them! He also allows guests to personalize them with a theme (like star wars) and is extremely accommodating! We would be happy to work with you again someday.

You need Mikey J at your event!!! I hired Mikey for my sons army/camo themed 10th bday party on a Monday. Mikey is very professional, talented and I appreciated the quick and effective communication. Mikey came early to set up his working area and even had a sign that said the time he was there from. Mikey also made the caricatures army related to go along with the theme :) I am very impressed with Mikey.

Miley was fantastic! He arrived early and was ready for the kids! We had quite a few kids and he made sure each child that wanted a caricature had one in hand at the end of the party. Mikey J did a caricature of me and my girlfriend, and also one of my granddaughters at a party last week. We had a ball, even standing in line was fun as we watched the artist create striking resemblances. The drawings will keep alive the memories of a great night!.
We truly enjoyed Mikey drawing caricatures of our guests and making a memorable event for kids. I strongly recommend Mikey for your events as he does a great job to keep the kids waiting to get their caricatures taken. All the kids had lots of fun looking at their caricatures.
No show to the event, confirmed the day before. Could not reach him by telephone or text the day of the party. He did email me 20-30 minutes prior to event saying something happened preventing him from showing and has offered to pay be back my deposit. Luckily I had a lot of other entertainers/entertainment for my daughters 13th bday to help maintain the parties success but we would have loved to have him there. The adults were looking forward to his skills as well. No hard feelings things happen, I am sure he is still a great caricaturists. Just recommend either a backup plan for his company or just ask for more notice if he has to cancel. The price was great that is what helped to get the 2 star rating. If he would have showed up I am sure it would have been 5.

Thank you for the review. I had a dire family emergency that I had to deal with at pretty much the last minute. Just a terrible situation all around. I feel just awful that I was not able to show and perform for this event. The first time in over 35 years of entertaining with my caricatures where I was not able to meet my commitment or find a replacement for me in time for the event. I am so happy to hear that the party was a success otherwise. Of course I will be refunding the deposit that I received.
My community did not know what to except, but when they realized your gift, they wanted more.

Mikey did a fantastic job for our wedding reception. He was punctual, friendly, and the guests loved him. He was so popular, we even asked him to stay another hour. You want a professional who does great drawings, please book Mikey.
My 4 year old son Alex wanted an art party theme this year. We thought it would be fun to have a caricaturist join us. Mikey was totally on board and even wore a beret in keeping with the fun. We agreed on black and white work so he could quickly capture everyone. We had about 25 people at the party and Mickey captured most everyone within 2 hours. Yes the adults all lined too and one child wanted 2 versions (with and without her crutches.) Mikey came on time and was very professional but also fun. I would recommend him without hesitation. I wanted to post up an example of his work but I cannot see how to do that on this site. I'll send it on to Mikey and see if he can post it.
Mike worked on an event we had in Washington, DC and did a fantastic job! He was prompt, friendly & people were amazed at how quickly and how wonderfully he drew them. Would recommend him for your next event!!!
