Hi! I'm Carlisle. I'm a composer and songwriter living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I've been writing music since I was 9 years old, just after I started playing piano. I began writing simple piano pieces, but over the years I have written choral music, film soundtracks, indie singer-songwriter music, and most recently delved into musical theater. No matter the medium, I always think in terms of broad narratives; drama and storytelling are very important to me.
In addition to composing, I am also a performer, and have provided piano and vocal music for a variety of events. I have played for church services and funerals, performed at various benefits, accompanied music classes at a school, and provided background music. I love playing original music for events, but I am adept at sight reading, and with my classical background I can also play classical pieces and learn new music as needed or requested.
