We are based in Davis/Sacramento and can play as Solo Spanish Guitar or Guitar Vocal Duo. We play dance/mellow popular music from 1960s to today. Everything from The Beatles to Bruno Mars and Fiona Apple.
Melissa and myself (Phil) have been performing for many decades and are seasoned professional musicians. If needed we can also play as a solo spanish guitar, trio or 4 or 5 piece full band.

We were looking for a band that was a sort of Salsa band, but we found something better. The combination of World Music with Latin Rhythms and some selected older ballads was a great combination for my 80th birthday party. Great for background music, listening and dancing later in the evening. One of my guests loved the "subtle Latin beat" to all of the songs.

We handle all client interaction in a professional and friendly manner. We confirm our arrival time and arrive promptly with enough time to set up according to the client needs. We keep to the letter of the contract for performance times but we can also be flexible according to the client's needs at the time.
Our performance is family - friendly, non too loud and is of course great fun for all! We play a mixture of original songs and well-known covers and even some sing-alongs!
We can play mood music for dining/cocktails and dance music for after dinner.
We end on time and clear our equipment as quickly as possible, taking care not to disturb any continuing activities.
The Phil Summers band is perfect for your dance party/wedding or Corporate Events. We play as a duo, trio or full band. Take classic and new rock/pop songs for dancing or listening, add a touch of cool Jazz standards and songs in Spanish, Portuguese and French.

Guitars: Phil Summers (performing since 1967 in !Akimbo, Brother G, Yolo Mambo (SAMMIE winners), One Sharp Mind, Empress Niko and Lion's Paw, Steadydrop, Roots Man Project and Crowned Kings.
Our music is ideal for the intimate setting of small gatherings or dance parties. We are seasoned professionals: we are appropriately dressed for your event, we are polite, reliable and punctual. We provide the sound system and lights according to your needs. Please see our song list below so we can be the correct match for you.
