Casa Boho

Daniela will set up a few paintings (including one that she'll be working on), decorations and lights to bring your guests into the space of creation and flow of an artist. For 4 hours, the living room of Casa (house) Boho will be open for observation and interactions at the location of your event. If a day/time slot is not open please email (email hidden) so we can accommodate you.

Daniela Blanco was born in Cochabamba,Bolivia and moved to Miami, Florida when she was 15 years old.
She has a major in Art and minors in Art History and Marketing.
Daniela now lives in San Diego, California and creates her art pieces in her beach home.
The name "Casa Boho" comes from "Home" (in Spanish Casa) and Boho from "Bohemian" because she has always been inspired by art, music, metaphysics and traveling.
Her art is inspired by her surroundings and the places she travels to. By using surreal imagery and impressionistic colors, she sets a whimsical landscape that tells a story and uplifts the viewer's perception.

Artist's Statement:
Through a self-taught and self-developed technique of using oil, acrylic, and watercolor paint, I create mixed-media whimsical paintings.
By using expressive colors and surreal imagery, my pieces tell a story without relying on realistic depictions and are inspired by my intention to interconnect my South American background, my Miami upbringing, my traveling, and my California surf lifestyle.
I use contrast in my chosen colors and shapes to tap into the elements of divisionism, impressionism and, maximalism to create optical illusions in the piece and pull in the viewer into an uplifting mood.
My intention is for the viewer to be able to connect outwardly to the elements of art that captivate the logical brain but also the inward emotional states triggered by connecting to a sense of wonder, nostalgia, and the excitable possibility of one’s inner child traveling through cosmic landscapes and mindscapes.

For the Live Art set up Daniela needs a power source/outlet, a minimum of 10x10 feet space, easy access to water and a sink and easy car access so that she can drop off her equipment.
