Catalina Angelina's knows the importance of qualification, safety, and sanitation.
Catalina Angelina's, LLC possesses the required business license, and fine arts degree for the art form. Professional development is a requirement for Catalina Angelina's team members. Members are always attending conventions, seminars, workshops, and training sessions throughout the year to meet the requirements of the industry.
Did you know that federal laws require that anyone interacting in a professional occupation with children must be fingerprinted and have background clearances?
Catalina Angelina's members hold college degrees and are state certified educators qualified to work with children. This means that our talent have background checks and fingerprinting completed prior to applying at Catalina Angelina's, LLC.
Catalina Angelina's also practices client safety by obtaining a signed photo release from a parent or guardian before displaying a child's photos in our publications, on our media sites, in our portfolios, and other company related material.
Catalina Angelina's adheres to government regulations. While many will go to local craft stores to purchase low grade supplies and go on to call themselves face painters, Catalina Angelina's, LLC adheres to the FDA and CDC guidelines by using products ONLY on guests over the age of three opting for products that are animal friendly.
Catalina Angelina's practices hygiene and safety with the products and services rendered through the company. When a company brags about painting more than twenty faces an hour, chances are they are not practicing the CDC's required hygiene protocol when painting. Catalina Angelina's is listed as a top sanitary face painting company. This means that we clean each face and/or area before painting. We also sanitize while we work to meet company requirements.
Catalina Angelina's talent also design their own templates. This means that you will not see our artists plagiarizing the works of Youtube stars, and TikTok Creators as seen being done by other face painters in the tri state region. Many of our designs have received, or are going through the copyrighting, patents, and trademarking processes right as you are reading our profile.

Catalina Angelina's Event Services adheres to the CDC and FDA guidelines by using products that are animal friendly ONLY on those over the age of three.

$100 per hour
TRAVEL SURCHARGE
0-19 miles from 08052 (Maple Shade, NJ) will have no fuel and travel surcharge
20-30 miles round trip from company starting point will have an additional $100.00 fuel and travel surcharge
31-50 miles round trip from company starting point will have an additional $200 fuel and travel surcharge
51-99 miles round trip from company starting point will have an additional $300.00 fuel and travel surcharge
100+ miles round trip from company starting point will have an additional $5 per mile.
SHORT NOTICE SURCHARGE
Our schedules are made at least two weeks in advance. Some of our secured bookings can happen more than a year in advance. This can leave us short staffed on popular days. When a request comes in within two weeks Catalina Angelina’s has to find staff to cover the retail end of the company. In many cases with such short notice Catalina Angelina’s, LLC has to pay additional monies to outsource through another agency in order to secure an artist for your event.
When there is less than a two week notice, the surcharges are as follows:
Payment made 2 weeks or more prior will have no short notice surcharge
Payment made 1-13 days prior will have flat rate plus a $100.00 short notice surcharge
STAYING OVER SURCHARGE
Catalina Angelina’s, LLC uses a scale indicating that our artists paint five to ten full faces per hour. If you are expecting more than ten guests for a one hour party, we strongly encourage you to book the extra hour staff member (if available) for the event. Many clients underestimate the attendance of an event and not all faces can be painted by the time an art leaves. This may leave a number of sad faces at your event. Due to a busy schedule, Catalina Angelina’s staff is usually unable to stay over at an event. Should Catalina Angelina’s, LLC not have an event immediately following your event we will require a CASH only payment made prior to the staff continuing to work beyond the time scheduled at the minimum listed below.
$100 per each additional half hour for each artist at the event
$200 per each additional hour for each artist at the event
EVENT SET UP SURCHARGE
Our rates include one artist equipped with one small table and one chair. There will be no additional surcharge for using your own chairs for those waiting to be painted.
For events outdoors, it is mandatory that we set up a staked in tent (to prevent blow-away and damage), along with the table and a chair. This is to ensure that the weather will not affect the quality of our products. This is great for days where there may be a light rain expected and this is also great for providing shade to guests in the high heat.
All outdoor events have a surcharge of $50.
*Should the client fail to disclose that the event is outdoors the artist is instructed to leave due to the liability
of risk associated to unprotected equipment. NO REFUNDS will be issued.
*If the artist has a 10 X 10 on hand (Cannot use one issued by client due to insurance liabilities) A $100 fee
must be paid in cash in full prior to set up.
ADDITIONAL STAFFING SURCHARGE
Each event comes staffed with one employee.
Due to our busy schedule we may not always be able to stay over for an event, so please be sure to use the guide below when booking your event to ensure that all guest can be painted.
To have happy guests, we estimate that our employees can each paint 5-10 faces an hour.
Please see below when determining how many staff members you will need for each hour.
1-10 guests would need one employee No surcharge
11-20 guest would need two employees $100 an hour extra staff surcharge
21-40 guests would need three employees $150 an hour extra staff surcharge
41+ guests require at least four employees $225 an hour extra staff surcharge for 4 employees
Character Staffing:
For each event requiring a costumed guest Catalina Angelina’s, LLC will add an additional $50.00 per event for each character appearing at your event.
PAYMENT
Payment is to be made prior to the event to secure the booking.
VISA-MASTERCARD We accept VISA, and MasterCard.
CASH-Cash will only be accepted if the total is paid at least two weeks in advance.
MONEY ORDER-Money Orders must be submitted in the full amount one month before the event.
NO CHECKS
CHANGE IN EVENT POLICY
We ask that you have all of your event information planned out before requesting Catalina Angelina’s, LLC to attend your event. Should you need to adjust the location, reschedule the date of an event, or even change the times of a party, the following fees will apply.
2 weeks or more notice will require a $50 surcharge
1 week notice or less will require a $100 surcharge
The surcharges must be paid to accounting before the event information is submitted to the booking agent, and the book keeping. Alterations must be made at least one week in advance. Keep in mind that if we are booked during the time change requested you run the risk defaulting to our refund policy. See “Refund Policy” below for eligibility.
REFUND POLICY
Keep in mind that when you secure a booking for your event, we are dedicating our time to your event. This means that any requests for our services for that time is turned down.
Should an event be canceled, Catalina Angelina’s not only has disappointed customers who were turned away but we still need to cover wages for the staff involved such as the artist and performers, along with the internal staff such as our booking agent who initially booked your event, our accountant for handling the financial elements of your event, Merchant Services who the accountant uses to process the financial transactions, and book keeping who tracks our artists, performers, the booking agent, and the accountant.
As per the "Show Up Law" staff must be paid even if the event does not take place. Therefore we have a retaining fee (holding deposit) that is nonrefundable. If applicable, this is a percentage of the total amount paid should you request a refund. The remaining balance will be returned in the form of a check thirty days after the cancellation date. See below for those charges.
Refund Staffing Surcharges
As per signing your contract you agree to the following:
One month (30 calendar days) will be eligible for a 75% refund of total paid. (25% Retaining Fee).
Two weeks notice will be eligible for a 50% refund of total paid. (50% Retaining Fee)
Less than two weeks will not be eligible for a refund. (100% Retaining Fee)
There are no rain dates or refunds due to weather cancellations. Rain dates are only secured if the nonrefundable amount is paid for that date in addition to the original event booking. Rain Date bookings are not Refunded if the day is not utilized due to the "Show Up Law"
NO EXCEPTIONS.
If the Cancellation was on behalf of Catalina Angelina’s, LLC the following protocol takes place:
If you have a party that is booked at least a month in advance and do not make any alterations you will be eligible for a 100 percent refund.
If we have to cancel on the day of the party we can either reschedule or refund you 100 percent. We will also offer $25 off the total for your next event for the inconvenience.
This only applies if our performers and/or artists become ill, or has an emergency beyond our control as to where he or she cannot attend the event. This does not apply to “State of Emergencies” or inclement weather conditions.
If you have paid the “Additional Staff Surcharge” and an employee of Catalina Angelina’s is unable to attend you will be refunded the amount of that “Additional Staff Surcharge” employee via check 30 days after the event.
Example for a two hour event:
-If you hired two additional staff members to work a two hour event you will be refunded your money for that one staff member unable to attend. You will be issued a $25 refund.
-If the employee was a character performer you would receive the $50 refund.
-If the employee was an additional character performer you would receive a $75 refund.
Taxes, fees, and surcharges are pro-rated according to the talent involved.
*Coupons and discounts will be prorated into the refund rates.
Media Specials
Catalina Angelina’s, LLC will not refund any specials granted through any media special websites. Specials made through companies such as Living Social or Groupon will have to be refunded through those sites within the refund period.
Guests are still subject to fees and charges, such as short notice, extra staff, distance surcharge, additional hour for booking, etc.
The specials are to welcome new customers to our company. These specials are valid for private events with 8-12 guests where guests are not charged to attend or charged for services. When redeeming a media special, charging your guests for face painting or other company services is not permitted. Should this be discovered when the talent is on duty, he or she is instructed to leave the premises. There will be no refunds as this breaks the contract between the client, the media marketing groups, and Catalina Angelina’s, LLC.
Expired Promotions. When a media offer expires, Catalina Angelina’s, LLC is unable to honor the promotion/coupon. You must contact the company from which you purchased the special.
RAIN DATE
Unfortunately, for the reasons stated above, we are unable to accommodate "Rain Dates." In Order to secure both the event date and a rain date payment must be made for both dates. There will be no refund for the original date if a rain date is utilized. There will be no refund if the rain date is not utilized.
NON PROFIT/MILITARY DISCOUNTS
Catalina Angelina’s, LLC provides a $25 discount per event for nonprofits providing a 501 (C) or 503 (C) form with payment at least one month in advance.
Any Military Personnel providing “Active Duty” military identification with payment at least two weeks in advance will receive a $25 discount for an event. This applies only to the military person serving, not a spouse, dependent or friend.
