I had Catherine (Marilyn Monroe) surprise my boyfriend in Las Vegas for his birthday and she was Amazing!!!! I would recommend Catherine for "Your" Marilyn choice. Catherine was prompt from the start with timely responses from the initial quote, emails, texts, follow ups and day of confirmation. She was helpful in suggestions of song choices and equipment as well as choice of dress to fit the appropriate evening setting. Catherine was spontaneous and a trooper on what to do and when during the event. Consistently friendly with the guests, supplying just enough humor and sportsmanship throughout the evening.

Marilyn (Catherine) was the punctuating note that made our birthday celebration one of legend. We were celebrating several birthdays, including a 90th. Everyone really enjoyed Marilyn singing happy birthday, flirting with the birthday boy, and taking pictures. G-Pa talked about it all night as the highlight of the best birthday party ever. There are a few amazing experiences that we will tale away from our weekend celebration in Vegas, but our time with Marilyn is at the top! If you want to make a celebration truly special, I recommend inviting Marilyn.

Marilyn (Catherine) was the only surprise I got away with at my fiance's 50th birthday party. We had 50+ guests in a penthouse suite and he had no idea. She brought her own speaker/mic, was engaging with the crowd, sang "Happy Birthday" plus other songs in the perfect Marilyn way. Our friends loved her and we're still talking about what a great job she did the next day. She was great from the beginning with returning my calls, texting me when she arrived, and being on time. Loved the wonderful birthday song for my Dads 80th. She personalized it and took time before she sang to talk to my dad! She stayed and took pictures with all 30 of us!! We had a group birthday party in Las Vegas on Sept. 27th 2013.
When we were on the way to pick her up in the lobby, we saw people ran around and said "Marilyn Monroe is here, she's here..." and we knew it was Catherine Thogerson.
She started with Happy Birthday song and then a number of songs to follow. Her vocal was excellent far more than real Marilyn Monroe (of course Marilyn Monroe wasn't a great singer!). Not just her singing but her performance was outstanding and so talented as an impersonator.
She made us enjoying the party from start to until she left.
We definitely find her for the next events in Las Vegas.

As Marilyn, I can perform anything from a quick "Happy Birthday", while flirting in a "Marilyn" way with the guest of honor, and pose for photos with the guests, to a stage show with up to 11 songs. I can also just mingle in character with guests at a party, or at a booth in a convention. I Have a small karaoke system, but for larger shows, the client would need to supply the sound system. I have several Marilyn costumes, and the client is free to choose which look they prefer.
Catherine works in many venues as the iconic Marilyn Monroe. She appeared on "Last Call with Carson Daly" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" as the beautiful Marilyn. She performed in "The Tribute," a show in Las Vegas with facsimiles of the Rat Pack. For the past 6 years she has also performed on the "Show Bus of the Stars," an open top double-decker bus tour on the strip. She sings up to 11 of Marilyn's songs, as well as a few others in her style. She can sing with karaoke accompaniment or a band. Catherine works conventions, weddings, corporate parties, and of course, birthdays. She has recreations of 5 of Marilyn's most famous dresses, and a portable karaoke machine. She even has a portable updraft fan, in case she is called upon to recreate that famous moment in "The Seven Year Itch." Catherine has grown up watching Marilyn's films, and reading her biographies. She knows her "Marilyn" history, and seeks to honor her memory with her outstanding impersonation. Catherine as Marilyn is a delightful addition to any event!
I have a small portable karaoke system with a mic, but for larger performances, the client would have to supply the sound system. I use CD's, or my Iphone, which I can plug into many systems.
