I perform 2 hours of original music. My latest album "Dirt Floor Camelot" released in March 2024 has reached 39,000 streams on Spotify! The album has received favorable reviews from the 111k subscribers magazine “No Depression”. Charley plays his show solo and/or as an opener for a band.
I have a passion for songwriting with a ~20-song original solo set: guitar, vocals, fingerstyle acoustic guitar, and harmonica. How might I get a show at your venue? I’m a Lockhart local after growing up in San Marcos and living in Austin for a while, playing 10+ years in bands co-writing songs that have found their way onto the radio and television (“Veronica Mars'' and an ABC studios show "Cupid ").

Gig Length: 40 - 120 minutes

You can expect a full set (45mins, 1hr, 2hr options) of original music with light, humourous, banter between songs. Although solo, Charley fills the room by playing a low bass cajon bass drum while playing guitar and harmonica simultaneously.
A small-town Texas singer/songwriter, Charley Ramsay blends vintage Americana with modern pop production to create his sound. His rustic storytelling explores life in a rapidly changing world, balancing wry societal observations with heartfelt confessions - all delivered with blues-style, country baritone vocals. After a 10 stint of writing and playing the Austin/San Marcos area with his life-long friends, and since the release of his 2008 solo album ‘Catalyst,’ he has been committed to writing the songs he thinks are good enough to share. Charley’s authenticity and devotion to his craft should make him a favorite to audiences across Texas.
