Your artist is extremely silly, full of jokes and loves to get our littles faces involved in the experience. The main goal is creating wonderful, lasting memories while making people giggle.
Each sweet face I paint deserves to feel special and loved, and that's what I do.
*******Although I am a proud member of the Clowns of America International, I have a deep rooted fear of clowns thanks to Tim Curry. I know I'm not alone in this, so I hereby promise I will never dress like a clown under any circumstances. You have my word.*******
Hi! I'm Gené and I'm about to earn you 1,000 cool points, because people love having their faces painted! It gives freedom to express themselves, feel extra brave or beautiful, and it's just a lot of fun.
My background is in art and working with special needs kids and adults. I've got experience with all types of abilities, and believe that everyone deserves to feel included, special, and loved.
My party appearances are not just about face paint. They're about connecting with people and spreading brightness and kindness through paint.
All my paints are hypoallergenic, high quality and clean. Sanitary practices are very important for our painted friends, and I take that responsibility seriously as it is a privilege to be able to do this for a living. I've got a clear background check that you're welcome to a copy of, I'm fully insured for $1,000,000, and a proud member of the COAI (Clowns of America International).
What age of children can be painted?
While I have painted age 6 months to 92 year olds, I do not recommend painting kids under 2 years of age. The paints are non-toxic and hypoallergenic, but small ones are more sensitive than we are and more likely to rub the paint in their eyes. This can be irritating to their little eyes, and I don't want littles to have their early paint experiences be negative.
What if my kid is too wiggly?
No such thing as too wiggly. They're just moving to their own rhythm. I love it. My job is to let them move and find a way to join in their dance. That's one of the special things about my job; I get to be part of their life in a real and honest way. Even though it's brief, it's a precious little moment in time.
Are my kids allergic to dyes?
There are rare occasions where children have allergies to dyes. While I have not experienced this with the hundreds of faces I've painted, I do keep face cleaning wipes, benadryl, and hydrocortisone cream, and first aid supplies in my kit at all times if a parent needs them.
How do you keep everything clean?
I use sanitizing solution and rubbing alcohol between each face on brushes and paints. I hand sanitize betwee each face and wipe down my station with sanitizing wipes between faces as well.
What do I need to provide the painter?
This varies from painter to painter.
I like to be provided with a close number of faces if that's possible, and a theme if there is one.
For birthdays, I like to do an extra special paint for the birthday kiddo.
I bring paints, brushes, stencils, sparkles, gems, cleaning supplies, table, rinse basins, chairs, table cloth and water.
Also, its important to let me know if we're indoors or outdoors.
I have special needs kiddos. Is this for them?
I do, too! Face paint is for everyone, but not everyone is ok with it. For sensory processing and Autism spectrum struggles, I'm a big advocate of letting them be our guide. Under no circumstances will I make anyone get painted, nor will I be offended by someone changing their mind. It's their body, they know what they can deal with.
For medically fragile kiddos, ask their doctor first. This paint is "harmless", but getting it into a port, tube, pump, or other device may cause harm. In such cases, the medical professionals should be the guide.
For kiddos with asthma severe allergies, epilepsy etc., be sure to communicate the importance of a smoke-free, nut-free, pet-free, perfume-free experience. Express the vital importance of not eating nuts or handling them prior to painting your baby. Ensure the artist understands there can be no flashing lights or intense patterns.
The faces we paint are far more important than our income. Do not be afraid to advocate for your little one.

I only require approximately 12x12 feet of space for my tent if we're outdoors and 8x8 feet of space if we're inside. And faces. Definitely hard to paint without them. 😊
